ATTENTION: Best Breakfast EVER!
Ive never been a big fan of "diet foods" aka rice cakes and lettuce, things like that with no substance. I like food and I like eating, so when I have a meal, I WANT IT TO BE A MEAL. I eat this breakfast every day and its absolutly amazing, good for you, and filling. It basically consists of:
-1/2c. egg beaters
-3 sliced button mushrooms
-some diced onions
-1/2 piece of a veggie chicken fillet OR 1/4c. diced perdue grilled chicken strips
-zero calorie spray butter
-ground sage, dried basil, and a bit of salt substitute
All you need is a small frying pan, put the onions, mushrooms, and chicken in first with some spray butter (to keep from sticking) and add some herbs and spices. When the mushrooms seem almost all the way cooked, add the egg beaters and more spices if you want. Scramble the eggs or leave it as an omelet!
The whole thing is just over 100 calories and its AMAZINGGG!
Um. Aren't you in recovery from anorexia? Why the hell are you eating a 100 calorie breakfast? *sigh*
'I am at a very low weight.'
*sigh.*
I agree with mashed_tatties. Replace egg white with an actual egg (or two or three), forget the "zero calorie spray" and use some oil. If you are not vegetarian use the real chicken!

if you want a "meal" then shouldn't it have more calories than a granola bar? a bit confused. this is more like a sampler to something larger, add a bowl of oatmeal, a yogurt, and a fruit and you have yourself a "meal" but 100 calories is far from it. sounds good though :)
That's not a breakfast, it's a light snack. Teens should aim for a minimum of 1500 calories a day. For the meal you described to be considered a healthy breakfast, it should include 2 whole eggs made into an omelet with anything you like, two slices of whole grain toast. a serving of fruit and a serving of a full fat dairy product.

Hi Veriitykae,
It looks like you are new here to CC, right? I want to thank you for posting your breakfast idea - it does sound delicious. I'm sure that for you right now it does feel like a full meal, but I hope you will take the time to look at the resources on this site and 'listen' to the comments of the wise people here to learn more about healthy ways of eating. I agree with the replies of the posters above - your idea sounds more like a snack that could be included with some other healthy choices to make a full breakfast. Hopefully, soon, as you learn more and begin to deal with your eating issues, you will find a way to eat in a more healthy manner. If you haven't already, it may also be helpful for you to visit a nutritionist.
Blessings to you as you begin a new path to healthier eating with CC!

That sounds pretty healthy and delicious... assuming you add some toast and fruit or nuts or something. I might add some spinach for additional vitamins too.
