Attn: Ladies! What do you want for Christmas??
Christmas is coming up again, and like most years, I'm at a loss as to what to give my wife and mom.
So, ladies....what do you want?
Maybe someone has a suggestion that is just the right thing I'm looking for.
Thanks for your input!
A remote starter for my car.
I am desperately hoping for a new pair of snowshoes.
Take me (ahhhh......HER!!) to a hotel with a hot tub in the room, bring champagne and strawberries and warming massage oil....well, wait, nix the oil....water and oil and champagne don't mix....hehe!
She'll love you for it!
ooops, well, your mom? hmmmm..........she might like to have the kids for a night while you enjoy that hotel!
And REAL shearling slippers! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I really want a Lambie pillow and blanket from Bath and Body Works. They are the softest things ever!

Also, anything Tiffany's! I found a great website that sells really good replicas, and I bought myself, mom, and sister lots of cute stuff. PM me if you want the address.
give your mom a spa day. not one or two things at a spa, but a whole spa day.
for the wife?...maybe a small vacation for the 2 of you? like a weekend at a not-too-close bed and breakfast or really good hotel, or maybe a long weekend out of town.
Well, it depends on what they like and their interests. Most women love spa gift baskets (bath and body works or the Body Shop), but I know some that hate that stuff. An actual day at a spa (massage/body wrap, manicure, facial) is almost always a sure bet.
Do either of them like to cook? Maybe a cook's basket with a couple of neat gadgets (williams sonoma rocks!), a cookbook, sauces / mixes, and a bottle of wine.
The small vacation is great idea - my hubby and I are doing that in a couple of weeks, but it's not Christmas present related.
Things on my list: Kitchen gadgets (williams sonoma!), fitness videos, shoes, some CDs, really good artisan chocolate, and a day to myself (sleep late, empty house, lounge on the couch, do some crosstitch, time to slowly browse Barnes and Noble, drink a latte, take a walk, get a facial, etc.)
Good luck!
I second the spa day idea. Every woman loves going to the spa, but most won't spend the money on themselves.
Depending on your budget, you can spend as little at $50 on a facial, or several hundred on a large package.
Mmmm... spa.
Me, personally, I want this. Seven meter, in pink.
I told my family I wanted weights and clothes. I told my boyfriend I want a ring (:P) or tickets to go see Trans Siberian Orchestra or I told him he could plan a winter camping trip for us. I think he's going with the camping trip :)
I agree with santonacci... figure out their interests and buy something that compliments those.

Will this suffice, kathy? ![]()
:D
I want a subscription to the fat clinic so I can lose 25 lbs!!! : )
A night out on the town. My guy got me tickets to the Opera for my b-day. It's fun for a gal to dress her best and be wined and dined. You could also get tickets to a play or something...a mini cruise if you live near a river, or a dinner train thing.
I love gift cards to my fave clothing store. Just beware of store closings and fees associated with the gift card. But I also know that some people think it's too impersonal.
Let's see, DVD's of really old movies. Sometimes ladies like those old flicks like with Clark Gable or others.
Spa gifts sound really good too. There are some spas that offer both services and a ton of products so they could use it for either. My spa has a limited selection of products but I just went to one called Beauty First (it's a chain), and it has so many products so if they want to splurge on high-end beauty products, they can do that too.
Obviously, make sure you don't get mom and wife the same thing. Wives don't want "mom" gifts.
Spa gift certificate is a great idea...also, I think anything that you can do with them would be a nice gesture. I would love it if my hubby said: "I've got $100 (or whatever amount) with your name on it! Let's go shopping!" You're getting her something tangible, but the real present is going shopping with her without grumbling ;) Does this could work for mom or wife...maybe mom likes the antique mall and wife wants to go to Macy's or something. Fun stuff!
HRM and one of those REALLY nice crockpots. I think the one by Hamilton Beach...
Wow, thanks for all the responses! You guys are great.
Spa days - I've given them both this gift many times, for both Christmases and birthdays.
Bath & Body Works - Yep, same here. I have given baskets and gifts of bath oils, bath salts, lotions, etc. for both as well.
yachtracer - hmm, dont think either need a remote!
bagga - haha, we live in Houston so no need for snowshoes.
to those that suggested a hotel room/mini vacation - have also done in the past, but perhaps it is time for another.
julianniam - not sure what searling slippers but will check on those!
cassrd05 - same with the lambie pillowk but will check it out as well.
krrpt08 and trend student - good suggestions. have already bought her tickets to see Radio City Rockettes and brunch before hand.
Cd's, books, gift cards, cooking supplies, etc. have all been great gifts in the past. May have to do so again.
Please keep the suggestions coming. Lots of great ideas. Again, thanks to all!

Wow, great suggestion pumpkin! I hate shopping. ![]()
So something like this would really be a good gift! I'm really not sure if I could handle it though.
Golf clubs and lessons? (if they'd be interested) I love it, personally!! Also if they already have these, golf balls, golf glove, shoes, tickets for golf at a nice course.
New bike - depends on if they are active???
You asked what WE want. ![]()
I live in Chicago. I want to be able to go to the window at work when it's below zero outside, press a button, and start heating up my car, so that when I go out to drive it, it's all nice and cozy. ![]()
