Aunt Jemima Pancakes

Quote  |  Reply

Hi everyone.

I don't understand the nutrition label on Aunt Jemima's pancake mixes. Does the label show the nutrition value for the dry mix or the prepared version of the pancakes? I'm confused because on the label it says 'About 2 pancakes prepared,' does that mean it is giving me the value of 2 pancakes prepared, or the powder that makes 2 pancakes? To add to the confusion... the daily fat value is 1%, which is impossible if you need an egg to make the pancakes, BUT the asterisks '**' next to the fat value denotes that it is the value of an 'unprepared' version, which seems to imply that the rest of the values are of the prepared pancakes. Can someone explain to me what is going on?

Are there two columns? If so, one is probably for the mix and the other for the pancakes prepared as directed. If there's only one column, I think it would have to list the nutritional values  for just the mix.
