Hi all. Just joined. Stumbled onto this site by accident but am really excited and can't wait to recommend it to my friends. This looks like it will be fantastic motivation to keep me on track. Hi Fotzy:
Welcome! I've been to your beautiful country and loved the friendly laid-back Aussies!
I think you'll really like this site. I have quite a bit of weight to lose (70+ pounds - not sure what that is in kilos). I find it difficult to lose weight because I have a desk job and my boyfriend likes to go out to eat a lot (we live in San Francisco where there are lots of fabulous restaurants). But I've started exercising more and tracking what I eat, so I'm looking forward to the numbers getting smaller on the scale.
Good luck and feel free to e-mail me anytime!
Michelle
Hi Michelle and thankyou.
I know the feeling with the desk job. I used to have a job where I was on my feet pretty much for 8 hours then went back to studying. i now spend about three month a year walking through the bush but the remainder of the year is sitting at a desk. I can pretty much eat all sorts of rubbish during fieldwork and my weight doesn't really change but then I get back home and can't change the bad habits!
Restaurants do much things a little more challenging but being able to easily keep track of the rest of the days calories has to help. Good luck with your goals and I look forward to hearing how small your numbers get!
Cheers
