Average-Sized College Girls Wanting to Lose 20 (135-115?)

I want to go from 135 to 115 on a 5'5 frame. Anyone with me? I'd love some support and accountability from fellow college-age ladies. I know I'm not overweight, but I want to be more fit than I am. I've got this horrid double-chin, and I'm afraid to wear spaghetti-straps.


So anyone in my range, join on up! We can do Monday weigh-ins and such. I want this so much I can TASTE it.

June-July Goal

I've gained roughly 30lbs. during 3 years of college and I know it's not an excuse but I've also gained weight once I got into a longterm relationship.

Last semester I enrolled in a spinning class but I didnt watch what I ate so pretty much I worked out to maintain my weight. Now, I'm exercising, taking long walks, and watching what I eat.

On the measuring fat loss...I know that there is a device that measures your weight and tells you your fat content/percentage...Maybe a gym has one for you to test?

I've always wanted to be 115 <3.  I look at my friends and yell "Why are you all the same weight?!  WHY DO I HAVE TO BE WALDO!?"

 

115lbs on a 5'5 person is generally too low, and unrealistic... you should aim for somewhere around 120-125lbs minimum for your frame

i would LOVE to as well.  Hopefully we can get a great support system running for all of us

i want in! i want in! i've always wanted to be a part of a legit group but whenever i join one they always seem to die out really fast. let's make this work ladies! i think accountability is something that everyone could use. especially me.

i'm a 5'1" (well, REALLY 5" 3/4" but i'll keep pretending) junior in college at colorado state uni, go rams! i'm currently weighing in at 121.6 ish. i started at 135 pounds a long time ago and lost some weight but then fell off the wagon and climbed back on and then jumped off and then was dragged by the wagon and just all sorts of retarded on/off periods. so, i'm back now for good and i need some spicy beezies to get skinny with! i'm going to say i actually start this on-the-wagon period around the end of january at about 128 pounds. so i've lost almost 7. doesn't seem like much, but i tend to have cheat days a bit too much, lol.

let's see.. i play soccer everyday for about 45 minutes and am trying to get back into working out 5x a week or more. prior to spring break i was working on about 6x a week and had really gotten into a routine, it was so good, but then spring break happened and i ended up only working out a couple times outdoors because i didn't have a gym. thank goodness my soccer class started right after break, i'm at least getting some exercise, right? :)

i try to eat between 1200 and 1400 calories and usually end towards the upper half, but i'm okay with that. its harder for me to lose weight since i am so short and not as active as i could be, so i'd rather enjoy my food and lose a bit slower than torture myself and lose 2 pounds a week.

 

okay, i'm done rambling. hah, sorry! oh i forgot, CC set my goal weight at 106 lbs (which i think is a bit low), so I'm shooting for 115 right now.

Good idea, I am in the same boat and finally getting fed up with making progress only to erase it a few weeks later, need to do this right! 5'3" and my weight today was 124.5lb. I would like to be 110 or less. So Monday weigh-ins, anything else? Good luck everyone!! xxx

I want to go from about 122ish to 105. I'm 5'2". I've tried dieting for the past year and a half, but it's been slow..I used to be 131lbs, untoned, but now after a year and a bit I'm 122 after nearly 3 months of weight training. Pretty slow weight loss, I know..


Anyway, I hope to clean up my eating once and for all. It's really hard to try to avoid the temptations everywhere I look.

Oh yeah, I have no real goal date. I just want to lose some fat and see some more noticeable results. But I guess December 31st is my ultimate goal date to be in top shape.

 

WOW i am in the same exact situation. 5'5 about 130 want to get down to 120 at least. i'm in!

Let's keep this group going b/c it would be awesome to continually have the support of other college students who know how hard it is to eat right with the nasty dining hall food they serve us :) and how crazy schedules make it almost impossible sometimes to get to the gym.

My stats are close to born2doit2.

I'm 5'5" and would like to go from 134 to 114 (20 pounds). 118 is my actual goal weight for now, and 114 optional (114 is a little low, though I have a small frame). Anyway, would love to join you all; I'm a freshman in college and am looking to just tone up and lose a few pounds. I've already lost 8 pounds and weigh in at 126; I'm not overweight, but I like the thin aesthetic. [smile]

Also, does anyone feel like they're ravenous after they've worked out? It's not even right after I exercise- generally, immediately after I work out in the evening, I'm not hungry at all, and therefore, don't eat anything for a while; but then, the next morning/day, I just want to eat everything. It's highly irritating, actually, and frightens me away from working out everyday.

ugh college made me gain so much but i proved it to myself that i could still lose weight on cafeteria food :)
