Average-Sized College Girls Wanting to Lose 20 (135-115?)

Quote  |  Reply

I want to go from 135 to 115 on a 5'5 frame. Anyone with me? I'd love some support and accountability from fellow college-age ladies. I know I'm not overweight, but I want to be more fit than I am. I've got this horrid double-chin, and I'm afraid to wear spaghetti-straps.

So anyone in my range, join on up! We can do Monday weigh-ins and such. I want this so much I can TASTE it.

Man, this is so needed!  I'm definitely needing support :)

My hardest problem is stress eating while I'm studying.  Right now I'm trying to chew gum and drink a lot of water, but it doesn't seem to be enough.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Keep it up ladies!  We can do this!

Hello!!

I was really getting into this at the beginning of the year and lost about 5kgs, but since uni's started again I havn't been watching what I eat at all, and am so exhausted by walking around the city all day (at least I'm getting lots of exercise!) I have been eating a lot.

I'd guess my CW: 63kgs

GW: 57

I would love to lose like 10-15lbs...

Current Weight:135

Goal:120

Hope everyone's weekend has gone well.. weigh in tomorrow morning! i think i picked the wrong day to have a cheat day, hah! i've had some cake and whipped cream and lots of goodies i wouldn't be eating otherwise. oh well, definitely worth it :)

so i've decided that i want to lose 10 pounds by may 15.. which is when i go home for the summer. i think it's doable. it would bring to be about 110, which i can't even remember EVER being.. does anyone else have goal dates?

i think it might be cool if we all posted our absolute fave diet recipe.. what do y'all think?

sorry lol repeat post, my bad. My  favorite recipe for  college student would be oatmeal and/or steel cut oats! its very filling for only 100-200 calories and its a very easy breakfast. dont use the instant stuff though, stove top or microwaving regular oats is just as fast and much better for you. okain with brown sugar and/or maple syrup is awesome! also add raisins or any dried fruit for more sweetness and a different texture.  Thought I would fill this empty post with my favorite low cal food :)

Im 5'8 and about 135 and id love to be 120-125! Id love to start with this group! where would we do the weigh-ins? here?

Weigh-In: 124lb....which means I only lost .5lb since last Tuesday. I was hoping for more, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised as I wasn't all that careful last week and binged a bit. But have been working out again and am about to go for a run. Hoping for 122 next week.

Favorite "diet" recipe, hmmm. I just really love vegetables and fruit, actually. I feel like "diet" food is kind of tasteless and not worth it. I prefer real foor. Steamed broccoli, brussel sprouts, grapefruit, apples, pineapple, pears, zuchinni, mushrooms...the list goes on and on.

Good luck this week girls!! xxxx

I am in my first year in college and since I started in Sept. I have gained 16 pounds, so I am just trying to get back down to my normal weight. When I stress I gain weight (ugghh).

Height: 5ft 10in

Current weight: 142.5 pounds

Goal Weight: 128 pounds

Motivation: In August, I am going to a big event (wedding)  in my old town that I moved from a couple years ago and I will be seeing all of my old friends!! I am so excited, though.

I don't really know what goals would be realistic for me, but I hope that by the end of July I can have this weight off.

Today, I am going to start concentrating on what I am eating and I am going to kick my ass and start doing exercises regularly.

Hi all,

I am back on the straight and narrow after a terrible weekend of more than doubling my calorie intake for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I have no doubt that I have put on weight and I have to say am ashamed of the amount I ate over the weekend.

I will weigh in later and hope that the damage isn't too much.

Had an awful weekend! I ate horribly...didn't even bother to count :(. So I'm weighing in a pound up..  which sucks. Hopefully it will even itself out next week.

Good luck everyone.

SW (for this group): 125 lbs

6/4/09: 126 lb

so i was right, cheat day yesterday was a bad idea for weigh in today. so i'm going to use my weigh in numbers from yesterday.. :) 119.6 lbs.

today is a new day. the beginning of a new week. and a new clean slate! let's make today worth it and strive to achieve our goals. we can do it ladies! stay on track and remember that it will be SO WORTH IT!

dowlcao1: i did not mean diet as is actual diet food, i meant a recipe that is healthy and lower in calories that something you would be eating had you not been changing your lifestyle. also, .5 lbs is better than nothing, and much better than gaining. way to go!

officervanity: i definitely packed on some pounds in college as well, boo! i think july is a very achievable goal for you. losing 1-2 lbs a week is considered healthy weightloss. you can for sure expect to be at your goal weight by august.

welcome aveljop! we have planned to weigh in every monday and use this thread to motivate and encourage each other.

i'm now thinking it might be a good idea to have specific information to post for your weigh ins. SW, CW, GW, and maybe the individual weigh ins? for example today would be weigh in 1 or we could use the date.. then we could all really see the progress each has made and keep track of our own. what do you think?

LW: 155.2

TW: 154

not too shabby...1.2 loss.  I did see 152 at one point, but i had chinese food and did a crazy work out and worked my muscles a bit too hard so they're definately retaining some water and seriously hating me.

gah my crazy schedule is keeping me so far away from the gym right now and i do NOT like it.  i have been talking 1 or 2 walks during the day though to at least get some kind of exercise.  hopefully things will start to calm down a bit soon.

good for you ocean girl, getting out and walking is great; i'm impressed! i haven't been to the gym in ages, and it's pathetic. it is seriously a 5 min WALK from where i live, but i am just a lazy piece of crap lately. i do have soccer everyday, but i wouldn't necessarily call that much of a work out.. it's not the competitive soccer, its a beginning soccer class at my college. oh well, better than nothing!

After the bad weekend I had binge eating I am surprised I haven't put on weight, but then again it may take time for the calories to convert into lbs...I don't know.

I fear I am going to have a rough patch over easter when I go home to my family and there is lots of chocolate about.

Good luck with all your weigh ins!

I'm having scale issues.  Yesterday I weighed myself around the same time as today and the scale said 126.5.  Today I stepped on the scale and it said 128.5.  Fifteen minutes later, I got out of the shower to check it again (hoping it would get closer to yesterday's number) and it said 129.  I moved it a little bit and stepped on again and it said 132!  So I tried it a few more times and each time it said 129.  Does anyone else run into this issue?

SW: 141

CW: 133.5 (YAY!)

I had three slices of pozza last night. Shame on me. I was in a seven hour rehearsal and totally exhausted and hungry and then all the sudden everyone was eating pizza and... yuk. Anyway, good job team!
