Been away for awhile and have gained 20 pounds....
I need to words of encouragement to get back on track, I am very ashamed of myself...
I was down to 178 and now I weighed in 198.6 this morning and I don't want to see 200!!!!
Well, you know as well as we all do that the only way to lose weight is to work at it I suppose.
I didn't lose as much as you did, but I started at 346 and got under 300, then I kinda stopped for awhile and now I'm back up to 313. Last week I started working out and eating healthy again, and it seems that once I got past that initial push to get back into it, I'm really back into it again.
Good luck.
Then focus on how much you don't want to be 200lbs. Concentrate on that specific goal everytime you even think about junk food. It's what I'm doing at the moment as I also went of track and today I did good.
Good luck!
For me, that is the hardest part. It is sooo easy to stay in the dream world of just the food.
I have been carry 30 pounds extra around for almost 10 years and it finally has gotten past 40 plus pounds. And it just seemed like there was no use.
But there is. And it is called health and we deserve it.
So Yeah for you coming back...that is inspiring to me because I quit this summer and after gaining the 5 more pounds...I decided I have to come back and be more motivated or something.
Thanks for the inspiration.
The thing is, you, like myself, don't want to put that weight back on and wipe out all our achievements. And it's not like we don't know how to lose weight, so let's get at it!
We're glad to have you back!!!
Just get that junk food out of your house, and replaced with healthier options!
You can do this!
(And aovermy, you can do this, too!)
Just take things one meal at a time, one day at a time, one pound at a time!
=^..^= MOLLY
well THIS certainly caught my eye ![]()
give yourselves a pat on the back for coming back to CC+.
no one said this would be easy. or a quick fix.
I'm in the same boat too (boy I hope this boat doesn't capsize soon ha ha).
I went from 212lbs in Jan/07 to 170lbs Sept/07 = 42lbs.
part of my motivation was to slim down for my 20yr high school reunion which happened on Sept 29/07. after the reunion came and went, I kinda went into celebratory mode and .... well.....
TEN POUNDS GAINED BACK LATER

so I'm back now......I started planning and logging all my meals + snacks, and trying to get my water intake back up to 10-12 glasses a day as of Sunday (Nov 4th).
I've done awesome. no cheats. no cravings.
I've come to the realization that I am one of those people who will need to plan and measure and log what goes into my body for the rest of my life. I need to be accountable to ME.
<<hugs>>
we can do it!!!!!
oh man! i don't want to do this for the rest of my life! :( i mean, i'm trying to make this a lifestyle change, but actually counting calories forever?!
maybe by the time i get my weight down, i'll be smarter & pretty much just know how much i can eat & the right foods, of course lol
if i don't eat the right foods, i'm always hungry & if i do eat the right foods, i'm always full
Guilty as charged!
I managed to lose weight and got down to 152lbs in April 07'... Then I decided to switch my birth control right around the summer time and I ever since then my weight shot back up to 177lbs in Oct 07'. OMG!!! I couldn't believe it. I had abandoned calorie count and healthy eating all in together due to hormone changes and extreme cravings for fatty foods.
So I decided to kick my exercise and diet regimen back into gear. I held my head up high and kept strong. And now I have already managed to lose 5lbs, Nov 07'... And counting, I'm still at it!
You did the right thing, by noticing your faults which is good. But we all make mistakes, no ones perfect. All it takes is time management, patience, and commitment and you will be successful! I know you can do it because you already have before.
Stick with it and share with us your hard working results when you see your hard work paying off! Good luck to you....
Making life changes are continuous challenges. We are all vulnerable to regaining some or all of the weight. Only 2% of people who lose weight will keep it off over 3 years. It will take continued vigilence to maintain our weight losses.
I have lost 114 lbs since december 06 and am certain that I can easily gain it back in even less time if I don't stay commited or if I should hurt myself and not be able to exercise. This is a chronic condition for me and i will have to be consistently vigilent. I remind everyone who congradulates me that this may be ephermeal, and I may gain it all back and more so, in time. One day at a time for me.
Back to your post, anxious1. I think it is great you are here and welcome back. I think it is important for all of us to see your courage and commitment to yourself and your health.
Anxious, congratulate yourself for coming back!

You are back. This is a NEW day...a NEW minute. That is all that matters.
I am working staying out of the past (mentally)....even if it's the past hour or minute.
congrats on coming back!!!!
Maybe we should make a backsliders club where people come when they've gained and would stay until they'd lost the additional weight they'd gained. I would imagine it would be quite popular.
