"Baby Fever" - I've got it bad.
I'm 22 and recently married, and I want to admit that I've got the baby bug. I can't help reading all about pregnancy and babies and already know the birth center I want to give birth at, and I tear up reading birth stories... Problem is, my husband isn't ready - at all. He wants to buy a house and pay off our college loans first.
While this is PERFECTLY rational, and I completely agree that we should be in a better financial situation before we have a baby if possible, I can't help these maternal feelings from bursting out! I've got it bad, and I want a little bundle to love!
Anyone else got the baby bug who can sympathize? :-)

Should I tell my husband I have these feelings?
Yes.
You might be surprised and find that he has the baby bug, too. Or, he might not. Ultimately, it's a decision only you and your husband can make. I will tell you, from experience, that it is possible to pay off debt after you have children. It may not be as quickly as without kids, but you can still pay on it. Also, not having the added expense of daycare is helpful.
I'm looking forward to travelling when my kids are (hopefully) out of the house when I'm 44!

Hah! That's what my mom said, then when I went to college she accidentally got pregnant with my father after years and years of being told she was infertile by doctors! Only she was 42...but still! Now I have a 6 year old little brother ;-)
My parents thought I was the last one when I was 10 and my mom was 35 and got preggo with twins. One more year and those buggers are out of the house!
We've done the accidental pregnancy. It will NOT happen again. We will see how we feel about a third child in 2-3 years and if we decide we're done, hubby's getting snipped!

My wife swears she's done and states that if we ever have another one it will be by accident and then I'm getting the scissors. :P
Heehee!
My husband wanted to get snipped immediately after our most recent was born. Thankfully, I talked him out of it for the time being. We are, after all, semi-young and making a decision that "permanent" is not something I think we should do right now.
My husband is the one who keeps saying we're done. I'm all up for a third!
I'm weird because I'm the guy and I'm the one who wants the third.
To anyone who thinks they want kids, here is a simple test to see if they are ready.
And I decided to have two anyway. And love them with every fiber of my being. But being "ready" is a definite plus.
