How do I get rid of that nasty back fat?????

Cardio, cardio, cardio, and when you think you just can't do anymore... more cardio.
There's not one specific thing you can do to get rid of a particular area of fat (i.e. "spot-train"), but what you can do is strengthen the muscles underneath to make you appear leaner and more toned.
Some good back exercises:
- Back extension (if you have access to a gym)
- Superman (lie face down on the floor, lift your opposite arm and leg off the floor at the same time)
- Cobra (if you have a stability ball/swiss ball - lie on it so that you stomach is against the ball... lift your torso up as high as you can, then back down)

"nasty back fat" makes me laugh and want to cry at the same time - at 38 going on 39 I know what it means and how difficult it is to get rid of, babyd is right about cardio and strengthening the muscles underneath the NBF. It's such an odd place to carry extra weight! ... like supplemental love handles?!
I call them "back titties". At least that's what mine remind me of when I see them. Thankfully they have been going down...they are now a b-cup. LOL
Dang you Felicia... why'd ya make me look back there? LOL
Cardio is the only way to get rid of the nasty back fat. I wish there was more us women can do to get rid of it. I do a work out for the love handles. I use a 10 pound weight disk and i do some twist. I notice a little more tone in that area and a little in the back. But i think that is from the cardio.
felicia- Make sure you're looking at fat and not skin- if you twist to look behind you it will make you look bulgy. I just mention this cause you have a BMI of like 21 and I can't imagine how you could have back fat, altho I can see the possibility of loose skin. If it's just skin, it's going to be all about toning (weights, not cardio) for you.
Made me laugh, tho, I remember telling my mom I was fat once as a teen, and she looked at me, pulled up her shirt, and said "Hon, you're not fat till you get _these_" and wubbled her little back rolls at me until I ran away. Um... to wubble means to sort of push-pull-poke-flap with your hands until the fat roll in question starts moving on its own.

you all have made me laugh so hard!!!!! I have been using 10 and 5 lbs weights and doing all the correct things I guess.... by the way what do you think the correct things are?
athletic trainer here, combination of cardio and wt training definitely works; good exercises are lat pull downs, back extensions, rows, side bends and abdominal twists with resistance using tubing or light wt and high reps. Hope that helps.
lets put it this way - if you can wear your bra backwards and it fits better than the front - I think it's officially called - back titties:)
I;m with Babyd - I use the incline bench at the gym with a 10 pound weight - you bend down over it and then straighten yourself back up and hold for 3 - slow seconds - repeat and lather about 15 times X 2-3 sets - it supposed to be mainly for the lower back - but I feel it all the way up my spine.
