Back on Track! DAY 1- DAY 60 WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE Nov 1- Dec 30 ALWAYS OPEN 4 U 2 JOIN.
Hello!
Lynn here, and I would like to get a new group started.. I've already started a group back in August, and a lot of us has lost touch. A few of us is still around, but I am looking for a group of people who is ready and willing to challenge there will power.
I know most of us are here to lose weight, and many of us can't get fitness in.. So portion control is the main key in this group. Many of us can't get on board with exercise due to heavy work loads, and personal medical problems.
I would like to reach out to those who is trying to gain control of there eating habits and fitness levels. If you can't do the fitness program.. I'm here to say. It's okay. Just join in, and eat well and do your all time best. It's not all about exercise.. It's also about eating right, and you don't have to sweat like hell to get a few pounds moving either.. We all have learn that from watching this season biggest loser. For those of you who don't know.. A woman on the show had to sit out and not workout until she got the okay from the doctor.. And she did lose weight.. Just by eating healthy alone.
Anyway! My tips are plan and simple, and each one of us can do them.. It's simple.. We will get into the fitness part of this later on.. But as of now... Here is what you do..
Post your name, weight, and how many pounds you wish to lose in 60 days.
Now then, every Sunday night.. I will post fitness minutes for the week. You don't have to hit them on the mark, and you can over do these minutes.. You don't have to stay in range with me at all.. If you can do more.. Go for it. I know I would if I have the room to do more.
In these fitness minutes.. You will have a set of minutes for weights, resistance training, or strenght training. You will also have carido minutes.. You will have enough time for days off.. I might even toss a push ups, squats, jumping jacks, lunges, leg raises, jump rope or crunches in the mix. These will be extra adds to see how fit you are, and how many you can do.. Just to challenge yourself to do more. I'm a back slider and I am trying to get back on track... And I am willing to reach down and give a helping hand to those who needs the extra support and push.. I know I need it..
I will be happy to have any of you on board with me..
Welcome to the group...
Let's get this started..
Day 1 starts Nov 1st
Day 2 starts Nov 2nd Weigh ins...
When you start this group.. Please give your starting weight with every weigh in.. There might be some change during your start.. You might get starts as soon as you read this post.. If you aren't already on board with working hard to a better healthier you..
On Mondays, we will weigh in.. Report weight, and pounds lost.
Lynn
Oct/26/09 175.4
Wish to lose- 18 pounds
I could really use something like this, and it fits in with my goal deadline too!
Ree
Oct/27/09 - 167.2
Goal - 24 pounds.
Damn. It used to be less, but then I gained a bit again. I might have to rethink my goal weight, depending on how well it goes.
I'm looking forward to this - it's my first group. :)
OK, Lynn, I will lose with you. Let's do it--bring it on!!
Oct. 27, 2009 - 149.8
Goal - 10 lbs
I am ready! I would really like to start the new year 10 lbs lighter. Unfortunately, I am over 50 and weight does not drop easily. Every little cheat catches up with me. I have to incorporate exercise. Fortunately, I enjoy exercising I just don't have anyone to do it with. My husband works out almost daily, but we don't do the same routine. He gets impatient with me, and I don't like to swim (he swims 2000 yards every other day). We end up annoying one another rather than encouraging one another.
My daily calorie goal should be around 1200 calories.
My daily exercise goal should be around 500 calories.
I am with you, Lynn, and we are back on track.
J-mom
Ok...I am on board Lynn!
Oct. 27, 2009 - 161.5
Goal - 14lbs by Dec. 30th
Ultimate goal - 26.5lbs
I would really like to start the new year out with some of the weight gone. I just turned 40 last month, and I have noticed that the past few years the weight has been coming off slower and slower ![]()
I go to the gym 4x a week, but probably dont do the right exercises to see the results I want, so this will be a great challenge for me.
I am hoping to see some good results by using this plan and website.
My daily goal for calorie intake is 1598.
I am ready for this Lynn (and J-mom) so let's DO THIS!
That is about the same time for my first goal.
October 27, 09 - 142lbs
Goal - 8lbs by Dec. 30th
Daily exercise goal is 300-500 daily.
I have been maintaining my weight for the last almost year regardless of how much or little I eat and how much or little exercise I get. It's weird. Anyway, I really need to lose about 50 lbs and I'll take any help I can get. I'm happy to start with a mini goal. =) I sing in a band and I hate the photos. Plus I know we'll have a better following with a "hot" lead singer. LOL
Oct 27 192.5
Goal - 16 lbs by Dec 30th
Ultimate Goal - 50 lbs
Hi Lynn. This might be just what I need to get through the dreaded holidays. Last year I put on 10 pounds and it took me forever to lose that.
Oct 27th - 157.4
Goal weight loss - 20 lbs. by Dec 30th.
Ree, J-mon, Kpitts, Ijiwaru, Maj, and Constance, Welcome to the group.
We all have a hard time losing weight don't we. We battle so much. Cravings, cheats, drive thur window, and casual drinking.. It's hard isn't it, and some of us really don't have the support we need at home.. I do at times, and then sometimes that support just stops.. I hate that so much.. You got all the support in the world, and then it feels as if someone is trippin' you up.. I get my feet kicked right from under me a lot. So, with that said.. I am ready to get this weight moving. I could not rest a wink last night, because this weight gain has been on my mind.. Where I was last x mas at 145 pounds VS 175.4, and slowly losing it drop by drop again, and I do mean drops .2 here .4 there and barely losing a pound.. The weight gain is a full circle moment.. I've circled back to this woman I've been fight for years.. The fat shell of me.. So, I started looking at my fitness and eating in a whole new way. Every movement I make counts.. I'm taking notes this week on how many hours a day I sit on my Ass, and how many hours or minutes I move. The notes from yesterday was good, because I pushed myself to move for 2 hours.
Eating right is another part of it too, and I had a cheat day.. I had fried foods yesterday. Now for the rest of this week. I have to be on my mark..
I got 160 minutes of fitness plan
I got 210 minutes plan for myself. A 30 min bath
I got 10,500 calories planned for the week
I also have a goal of losing 2 pounds this week.
We can do it.. Get a fresh note book and plan it out. Every week. Plan your meal plan, and eat right and focus on you. That's what I am telling myself here.
Welcome all, and I can't wait to see who join in next.
I'll try it too....I really need to get back in the swing of things and I think I'm finally on the right track but need all the help and motivation I can get.
Current weight-190
Goal weight-140
Shooting for 15 pounds by Christmas!!!!
Good luck everyone!!
I'm in but I still don't have batteries for the scale. I'll try to get some next month... until then i'm not sure where i stand weight wise (probably anywhere between 121 and 130 lbs)
hi, i really need to get back in shape and i think doing little challanges like this one will be a good way to start. im the kind of person that needs a lot of motivation to get these type of things done so i need all the help i can get!
Current weight-190
Goal weight-130-135
Goal for Christmas - 15-20lbs
Good luck to all!
I would really like to join. I have recently recommitted myself to getting healthy. I have improved my diet and started going to the gym. I have a long way to go, but I will get there.
Start Weight: 235
Goal Weight: 155-160
Goal for End of December: 15 - 20lbs
Welcome, Cricket, Lily, and Cbrudd. I can't wait for us all to get started.
Let me toss this out here.. This group will be open, because I am going to do another 60 days again. I'm doing a step down program.. Learning to get back on track is the key here, and you all can join in anytime..
I had to put an amount of weight to lose in a time frame. Hit or miss to asure myself that this can be done, and will be my drive and focus.
3 servings of veggies
2 servings of fruit
2 servings of Dairy
1 serving of meat... ( Fish, Chicken, Turkey or beef for those who has beef in there diets. This is my main focus, and what I call... A okay treat. Sugar free pudding, weight watchers muffin's or cakes. The Okay treat you pick can go on and on.. Reward yourself with a okay treat after you put in a hard days work. Just make sure, you have your okay treat on your workout days.. No more than 60-100 calories... That's the okay treat goal.
It's all about mind control and switches. More like.. Are you hungry Vs cravings. If your body is craving something sweet.. I say.. Go on and have it.. Don't sub it out with a bag of carrots.. Just have the sweet, and be done with it. Just control that portion. That's what the dietitian told me. She told me to not fight that craving with something else.. Just have it, but a better version of it. I'm sure we all can do that.
I am in need of something like this too!!! I lost about 50 lbs (230 to 180) but I recently gained back to 201. I am very disappointed in myself and I know that the only one to blame is me.
Me too! I was doing well and have now slipped back into my old ways. Am 190 lbs. My goal is 145lbs.
I would like to aim to shift 12 lbs by Dec the 31st.
My exercise is reasonable, I enjoy it. My major problem is will power, avoiding junk, white wine and portion control. So the exercise is just useless really! This group sounds just what I need.
Good luck everyone.
I would also like to join. I need the motivation as well! I have been trying to eat healthy for about a week now and will start exercising and eating well on November 1st.
My current weight is 182lbs
My goal weight is 135lbs
I would like to lose 47lbs in all but my short term goal would be 12lbs by December 31th.
I wish us ALL the best of luck and look forward to getting to know you all!
Hey Gang,
Welcome, Mindy-Toad22-Anglsmom, welcome to each and every one of you.. I do believe in my big heart that you are in the right place- you just have to believe in yourself and do the work.
Well, I know this challenge starts on the 1st, but you don't have to limit yourself to doing this on the 1st. In my eyes.. You already started when you posted your weight and goal. We are already in the beginning of the week.
Step up and start making some things happen.. I'm not saying you aren't or you haven't, but Nov 1st don't have to be your start.. Right now can be your start.. You can do a quick 15 minute work out, and it can be basic high school PE training.. Just give yourself, your best shot.. I would like for everyone who has joined, to be on the road to a new and better you..
We are getting back on track..... Dust off, and get back on track.
I had a great dinner I must add.. I was not going to say... AW! I eat what I want this week, and then fall into the program.. NO! I ate poor yesterday in my book, and that one day of poor eating has been one to many for months..
When you want something.. You become a go getter and get it.. We all have goals we wish to reach, and we all must become go getters in order to get it.
Here's to health.
I would love to join the challenge.
name : roms weight : 173.8 lbs Goal : lose 14 lbs
Lynn,
Thank you for your transparency, honest, and brutal truth expressed in yesterday's post. I'm gonna match your commitment with a confession and commitment of my own.
I started with CC back in January. I worked my program well with a solid 10 lb weight loss (that was half of my goal and put me within the "normal" BMI range). Then I fell off of the wagon and never really recovered. For the past many months I have used grad school, work, and just plain ol' stress as my excuse. You know what--that's CRAP!! I have had time to watch soaps, Mark Harmon on Tuesday nights, and talk on the phone--but I have not had the time to get my lazy, fat rear end to the gym. I have used salt and alcohol as methods to combat my anger, frustration, boredom, laziness, etc. Now I am back to where I started in January 2009--150 lbs!! I have the same stupid 20 lbs to lose now that I had then, but I am nearly 1 year older. Words cannot express how pissed I am at myself, but words won't get the weight off-calorie deficits do. For me, that is all it takes. When I eat less and move more I tighten up my flabby spots, sleep better, eat better because I don't crave crap foods, enjoy my husband more (
), and overall feel better about myself and my life. So, Nov. 1 is the first day of my New Year's Resolution.
First goal: 140 lbs.
J-mom
J-mom, you are so welcome. I've been at this for some times.. Years..... It's an up hill battle. We just have to lace up, and fight those hills one by one.. I preach a whole lot about weight loss, and I have been very successful at losing weight, and I also have been the queen of drama life related back slides. I am the queen of not letting it go, and letting GOD deal with it.
We all have issues in our homes and life style.. It's easy to preach it, but will you come on board with a full commitment to yourself and your health. I ask myself daily.. How will I handle today?
I give myself... 3 things to handle during the day.. My personal 3 things.
1.. Getting up..
2.. Steppin up and out.
3.. Doing the work to reach a better me..
Those are the 3 things I focus on, and thats a battle. We fall off the wagon, but we can always run after that wagon and get back on..
The question is.. How many miles are you willing to run to catch that damn wagon? I don't want to run 34 miles to catch it, but as of now.. I am... Each pound is a back slide.. A back slide into my own drama, and life issues.. I don't have to keep on sliding back. I can slide forward....... And gain some respect for myself.. You lose respect when you lose yourself sometimes.. I do.. And that's the deal here. We have to respect what we are doing for ourselves, and be honest and do it..
I have a cold, and have you ever heard of feeding the cold. I feed that cold, and I moved.. Sweating and going on all day long in my house...Every calorie i burned.. I ate it back... I ate it back. Now this morning.. I can't eat nothing but soup and crackers. But I'm okay with that.. I under stood what my body was doing, and I was craving everything.. Now I can't eat a thing.
I hope I am well by the 1st, but if I am not.. I will weigh in still, and watch what I eat until I'm well enough to workout. I'm going to keep up the good work and faith.. That's what you are going to have to do, J-mom... Keep the faith and good work going..
Here's to health.
OK,
I re-read through my post yesterday, got on the scale today, and have dropped .4 lbs. Though I did not exercise yesterday, I did watch my eating. Today, I am off to the gym.
I am finishing my grad school paper this week. I didn't exercise yesterday because I spent most of the day revising a huge section of my paper--ended up 10 single spaced pages!! This brings my total page count to somewhere around 50. This has been a major undertaking, but the end is in sight.
Today, I have less demands on myself, so I will add in the workout. I feel like a little treadmill this morning. I would go outside and walk, but rain is in the forcast and the wind is really strong. I really don't like getting caught in the elements a mile or more from home.
Today's goal: 500 cal deficit and I WILL log every morsel that crosses my lips.
OK, guys, keep me to the commitment.
