Hello!

Lynn here, and I would like to get a new group started.. I've already started a group back in August, and a lot of us has lost touch. A few of us is still around, but I am looking for a group of people who is ready and willing to challenge there will power.

I know most of us are here to lose weight, and many of us can't get fitness in.. So portion control is the main key in this group. Many of us can't get on board with exercise due to heavy work loads, and personal medical problems.

I would like to reach out to those who is trying to gain control of there eating habits and fitness levels. If you can't do the fitness program.. I'm here to say. It's okay. Just join in, and eat well and do your all time best. It's not all about exercise.. It's also about eating right, and you don't have to sweat like hell to get a few pounds moving either.. We all have learn that from watching this season biggest loser. For those of you who don't know.. A woman on the show had to sit out and not workout until she got the okay from the doctor.. And she did lose weight.. Just by eating healthy alone.

Anyway! My tips are plan and simple, and each one of us can do them.. It's simple.. We will get into the fitness part of this later on.. But as of now... Here is what you do..

Post your name, weight, and how many pounds you wish to lose in 60 days.

Now then, every Sunday night.. I will post fitness minutes for the week. You don't have to hit them on the mark, and you can over do these minutes.. You don't have to stay in range with me at all.. If you can do more.. Go for it. I know I would if I have the room to do more.

In these fitness minutes.. You will have a set of minutes for weights, resistance training, or strenght training. You will also have carido minutes.. You will have enough time for days off.. I might even toss a push ups, squats, jumping jacks, lunges, leg raises, jump rope or crunches in the mix. These will be extra adds to see how fit you are, and how many you can do.. Just to challenge yourself to do more. I'm a back slider and I am trying to get back on track...  And I am willing to reach down and give a helping hand to those who needs the extra support and push.. I know I need it..

I will be happy to have any of you on board with me..

Try, just do what you can. 10 pounds is on its way off. We just have to focus on the pos, and work on your eating. Keep your fitness mins adjust for yourself. I know walking is your power point. So just do your best. You know I am 100% here with you. We got the get this thing moving again. The weight, and the best damn group ever..

Today, became my day off. Body was feeling pretty sore, and this was the best time to re-coop.

Wednesday, Fitness mins:60 30 cardio/ 30 weight training
Calories foucs: 1400
Get in more servings of veggies..

I am keeping record of my deficit. A friend of mines told me.. She takes 3500 and subtract from it every deficit she gets, and watch her fat intake to make the body use what is stored. I'm trying my best to do that. I'm subtracting from 7000. I know a few of you might have a problem with that, but I feel. This is the right way to do it. It's not like I'm eating barely nothing to lose weight. I know on my off days I eat 1200, and on my workout days. I stay at 1400-1500 if not a little more..

I'm taking an early seek peak at my weight. I hope I see some drop of change.. I'm doing great, and I feel I should see some water weight loss.

I was at 1354 cal yesterday; stayed way too late watching movies though. Oh well, I need to work today anyway :)

It's our 3rd wedding anniv today but we are not planning anything special. It rains and our finances are quite low as it is anyway. But we'll figure something out.

Cris, a candle light dinner is good. A good romantic setting, and then fun after wards. Happy 3rd anniversary Cris.... Wink

Well today, I have 4 miles planned again in 30. I want to take my dog walking with me so he can pull me along the way, but I'm not sure how many stops bobo is going to make. I haven't taken him on the road in a while, and I think  he will love it. I guess I will enjoy the walk with him, and he will enjoy it too. He's my baby.. I just don't want the other dogs to get jealous you know. I'm going to have to figure this out. He needs a good walk, and so do I.

 

I can't believe it, my scale said 161.4 this morning!  That's 2 lbs in 2 or 3 days... yes, probably some water but even with water weight I haven't seen anything under 163 for two months!

I think the Wii Fit Plus is helping tons - I can tell it how much wt I want to lose in what amount of time... and it tells me how many cals to burn each day & then counts them down as I work out.  The workout games are FUN! so it's no problem to keep at it for an hour.

Happy 3rd anniversary Cricket, love & commitment don't need $ so I'm sure you'll figure out some way to celebrate :)

Morning, All,

Well, I am back on track at least for today. Here's my log so far:

Tuesday, 11/3:  10 min abs, 20 min wts, 30 min elliptical.

I, too, took a peek on the scale. I am headed in the right direction, which sent me outside to walk for 2 hours. I soaked in a hot tub, then ate a snack. I feel calm, relaxed, and content. Am ready to head to the computer to finish my Professional Paper for school. As of last night, it was 72 pages in length. It is due Sunday, then I make any corrections that they ask of me, prepare and present my defense, and voila'--I am done with that and headed to the last class in my Master's program. Woo!! Hoo!!

Cricket--congratulations on Year 3 anniversary! Enjoy the night. Wink

Mia--congratulation for going under the 163 mark. Who cares if it's water or what. Just celebrate the lower number!!

I still can't seem to get into the calorie deficit. I will keep trying. I think as I up the exercise it will get easier for me. At this point, 1200 cal is just too low for me. I feel deprived and end up snacking late in the evening. I have found for me that a 1600 cal goal is reasonable and do-able. However, to hit a deficit, I have to move quite a bit, and that is what I am working on this week.

I have clinical tomorrow, so I will need to prepare. It is really easy to buy lunch, and the available meals are empty calories. Will plan on posting late tomorrow or wait until Friday. Good luck to all.

I'm back again.....

Just got back in from a 45 min walk, and it was not my all time best. I did do 4.37 miles, and that's good. The road crew is out, and I had to walk the ditches. Scary, but I did it when I saw them close to my crossing point on the way back. When I saw them.. I was not, and would not dare to turn back and go home.. They can do them, because I was planning on doing me and getting it in. So it cut my speed in half on the walking, because I had to be very careful, and watch out for those big ole trucks coming down the only free lane. My honey thinks I did supper good. This route was just a little longer than the other one. More hills and dips to walk, and it felt great. I am doing it, and nothing is going to keep me from breaking that brisk walk sweat.

Jehzi, good for you on your 2 hour walk. I try to keep it plan and simple with my walks, but pick routes that are hard and challeneges. I never walk the same path more than once in a week. I have 4 ways I can do it, and I use them all.  Monday was the east and South route, and today was the west/North/ and east route.. That one has a lot of hills and dips. I love it.. Very challenging.

Now, I will be heading into the gym to get a good muscle workout with one of the hot bods in there.

OH! I forgot to talk about my peek a boo.. Lets just say.. I am on the right track, and I am fighting a good fight.

Is it too late to join? I would too like to start this challenge. My current weight is 162 lbs. And I would like to lose 14 lbs by December 30. I have been trying to lose a few pounds since august but it has been very hard! I lose my motivation and a feel like I have no will power. any advice please?

I am sorry I haven't checked in sooner!!! I had a terrible last few days.  My start weight was 235 but by the end of the week last week I was down to 229 (hold applause lol) unfortunately it was the calm before the storm.. I got sick, ewww... not well at all!  I was down for the count Friday evening, Sat, Sun, Mon and yesterday.  And the worst part... Sunday was my 10 year Anniversary Yell 

Well needless to say being sick there was no exercise and I didn't eat very well either.  If it was quick and I didn't have to cook I ate it.. yuk.  I feel crappy today, but I am back to the gym tonight to punish myself, and mydiet is back in line. I am at about 900 calories for the day so far, with about another 4-500 to go and some gym time. 

This morning when I weighed myself I was back up to 232.5 Surprised which I know that most of what I lost before was water but it still sux to see the scale go up, especially when I know it was my fault..

Cbrudd.. You are going to be just fine, don't beat yourself up. Happy 10 years to ya, even if you had an mad face by it, and keep on pushing..

As for me. My metabolism is running down. Need a b12 shot or something.

Oh the mad face was about being sick on my anniversary not about it being my anniversary..lol

Sorry i havent checked in sooner, so ill give you an overview of what i have done since this started, sunday the 1st i walked for a couple hours with a friend (so that was good) then monday i was at the gym for 1hr, yesterday i didnt have time to work out b/c i had i had a lot of hw! i cant find the time to work out and that really stresses me! i work full time and am a full time student at night! so its really hard, i have so much homework and tests that i dont find time for anything else! i think this is going to be my greatest challenge!

Can I join in?

Extra.. Yard work 3 hours.. Cutting brush and weeding.
Extra.. 5.88 Miles walked In those 3 hours.. Doing the yard.. Draging the stuff to the ditch and walking back and forward in the yard... What a load.

That's where those extra pig out calories come in at. I didn't want to be sneaking and binging later on tonight. It normally happens like that, so I ate a few extra 100s calories. 200-300 more..

I feel great, and I am so so sore.. I was doing most of the work.. While my man was watching me.. Started to get upset when I would not come inside and rest. I'm on a mission...

I hope you all are doing well.. Keep up the good work.

So I ended up at little over 500 cal yesterday. YIKES! I had a bowl of Greek Beans Soup for late lunch , some gin tonic and tomato juice when we went out ...and LOADS of loving. I had the butterflies in my stomach all day long...HeHe

 

I did weigh on my "low battery" showing scale but if the darn batteries will hold until Mon I'll report the weight, otherwise wait cpl of days to get fresh ones. (I keep putting these on the heater LOL they work but shows "low" all the time so i don't trust it, that's why i don't report it).

 

And yeah, i need to start eating for a change!

Wed report:

120 min walking in the neighborhood. Maintained 3.5 mi pace

Calories: Just over 1600

Deficit: 310

Did not weigh this morning.

I have clinical today so I may postpone my exercise until tonight. I hate doing that because it is so easy to not exercise, but I will try really hard to kee[ the promise.

I saw this question on the front page and was wondering the same.

What does the burn meter mean? Does it mean that I have to burn that many calories? Or eat that many calories? I'm really NO pro at this at all and to be honest, I've been having a really confusing week! I guess I'm just not quite sure on how I am supposed to be planning out my meals. I have never really been one to cook. But I am now and I want to lose weight SO bad. So I would appreciate the help. A while ago I found some menus for my calories that I should be eating but I don't remember where they were.

5-6 out of every 7 days I like to exercise but a couple days ago I managed to injure myself so I am going to take a break for a few weeks.  I am just going to take it slow until my foot heals.  My hard work did pay off though!  I am down to 140lbs as of this morning. :3  So happy!  I honestly don't know the last time I was 140lbs... I know it was sometime after I broke my leg (age 12, 120lbs then) and my 8th grade year (age 13, 150lbs).  >.<  I hope I can keep this up and the weight off!

The burn meter is how many calories you burn during the day during your active life style, and while you are sleeping as well. That's pretty much how it works. It's an guessimate if you ask me. I use my MIO watch that I got, and onlty record my burn the watch reports. I might be a 100 cals short. I report the burn I've already gotten, and don't wait to see more before I take it off.
