My boyfriend just made me a bacon sandwich for breakfast and I ate the whole thing. Uh oh. How many calories have I actually consumed - CC seems to say that bacon isn't that much which seems ridiculous as it wasn't even lean bacon.
It was two smoked rashers, grilled, with a small amount of flora light on two slices of granary bread.
I figure i'll be pretty full now until mid afternoon, but I want to know exactly what damage i've done!!
Can anyone help?

So you had the calories for 2 pieces of bread, a tbsp of flora (is that like butter/marg?), and two rashers of bacon?
Bacon is not heinously high in calories -- it's just that all the calories are basically from fat. Probably 70-90 calories for 2 slices. The spread was probably 50-75 cals, depending upon how much you used, and the bread? 70-100 cals per slice
If you are talking about Irish/UK rashers then prob about 128 for 2 it says in a book i have... good though!

since you've gotten a few responses regarding calorie count i'll leave that part alone.
now what "damage" have you done with one meal? not too much, i'd say. just eat extra healthy the rest of the day. of course if the prior posts estimation are correct (455 on the high side) and you are full until mid afternoon, then that leaves at least 745 (based on the lowest 1200 recommended intake) for the remainder of the day. and if you exercise you can/should eat more!
Two slices of bacon is only 60-70 calories. Bacon is LIGHT. Yes it has a high percentage of fat in it, but it's still a very small amount of food. Plus, if you cook it until it's crisp and then drain it on paper towel, a lot of that fat is cooked out of it and stays in the pan where you don't eat it. There's a lot more calories in the bread than in the bacon you put in it. You have nothing to feel guilty about whatsoever.
My reply has absolutely nothing to do with your question yet I still must post. Talking about your bacon sandwich reminded me of Jemima J by Jane Green. It's a novel I adore. The first time I read it, it motivated me to lose something like 30 lbs. I figure as long as you consume only one sandwich, unlike Jemima who did two at a time, you're fine.
