How bad would it be to eat an iced honey bun?
How bad would it be to eat half an iced honey even if it still falls within my calorie limit. It's about 250 calories for half a bun.
best not to deprive yourself, it might lead to binge eating later. Enjoy!
If it's worth 250 calories to you, and you want to, then eat it.
I eat pointless calories all the time. This is a lifestyle change, not a prison sentence. But if you do eat it, enjoy it and don't feel bad about it later.
I liked this post better when it said hiney bun ;)

haha. I make so many typos that it's just plain ridiculous.
I'm eating it as we speak. This thing is like sex. Good God Almighty!
hmmm...maybe i should eat the whole thing. After all, this is the first thing I eat today. (I just woke up.) hmmm...
Honeybuns are what got you here.

Dang it! Where were you an hour ago! I would've shelved the thing! lol, too late now. That's ok though.
What really got me here, was eating 2 full honeybuns, a quarter pizza, and a pint of soda a day.

Ha, dang. Well I tried.
"What really got me here, was eating 2 full honeybuns, a quarter pizza, and a pint of soda a day."That's exactly the attitude to have! Everything in moderation. It's being a bottomless pit that got many of us here, but if we can curb that mentality and allow everything in moderation then we can enjoy all foods without guilt :)
I had mayonnaise this morning with my egg on toast and my homemade fruit smoothie. It all came to 431 calories. No guilt here!
It would very bad, even if it did fit into your calorie allotment... Do you know what all that SUGAR & FAT is doing to your arteries & internal organs - NOTHING GOOD!
"Honeybuns are what got you here."
Just because we're trying to lose weight it shouldn't mean we have to give up all of our indulgences. As long as you fit it into you calorie limit anything is fine for weight loss really.

Life is short; a couple of sweets here and there aren't going to do anything to your overall health. As long as she eats healthily overall she can have them. I think we should be teaching others about moderation and not giving up everything they used to love.
Forget the haters.. :)
one honeybun isn't going to raise your cholesterol up 100 points, or take a year off your life. as long as it fits into your calorie allowance, i say go for it. mmm it sounds really good to me!
I know this post is a few days old, but i'll re-comment on it anyway. If I eat sugary products in the morning, it makes me want to binge all day long. The drop in blood sugar later on, just ramps me up for the entire day.
I was doing really good with bagels for a while, but they made me starving. Well mentally starving :) I stick to my protein low carb breakfasts.
I'm a stanch believer in the everything in moderation. You go ahead and have your honey buns once in awhile just make sure to have a healthier lunch and dinner.
I'm different, sugary breakfast (junk) or carb breakfast (oatmeal) fuels my activity and nothing more. Protein and fat in the morning makes me crave all day. Honey buns would be good in the morning for me.
lol....iced honey buns are bad. Even in moderation. There is no getting around the fact that there is nothing redeemable about it. In the short term, if you don't go beyond your allotted Caloric intake, you will be fine. In the long run, though, you are taking in FIVE GRAMS of saturated fat every time you scarf one of those things down!!!! Do you know what you could have with FIVE grams of sat fat that don't have all of the processed crap in them that has??? You could have had half a cup of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia Body & Soul or Half Baked Body & Soul. They also would have been better on Kcals too (170 and 190 respectively)
That's how I look at it though...I won't eat something that is absolute crap that doesn't really taste all that good when I could replace it with something that is equally as bad for me but with tons more flavor and satisfaction.
To replace your obsession with iced honey buns for breakfast lol......buy some caramel or maple & brown sugar or cinnamon toast Quaker rice cakes, some original Reddi-whip, and some cereal (I use Pecan Clusters Great Grains)
Put a single beaded spiraled swirl of whipped cream on the rice cake, sprinkle a handful of cereal into the whipped cream, then top it off with another rice cake. Each cake has 45 calories, the whipped cream has 15 calories per tablespoon...it's hard to measure how much you put on the cake, but let's call it 2 servings to be 30 cals....then the cereal would probably have about 50 calories
Total of 170 calories....without all of the processed crap. Try that and tell me that you'd rather have an iced honey bun while trying to lose weight ;)

Well, I appreciate the tip. I'll stay away from them from here on out, at least until I lose more weight.. The only reason I ate it, is 'cause my friend brought it for me. Had he not brought it, I wouldn't have gone out of my way to seek one out.
Edit: Now that you mention it, do you know how much saturated fat is safe for consumption per day.
...I haven't really heard anything consistent on an allowance of saturated fats.
My rule of thumb with sat fat is this:
I have a personal "allowance" of 0 g of saturated fat in a day. However, that doesn't mean that I eat no sat fat. It means that I apply different rules to it. I multiply the count of saturated fat grams by the caloric content of whatever I ate, then divide that in half. I add this many calories on to my cardio workout for the day (or for the next day if I've already done my cardio)
Using your iced honey bun as an example: (using stats from calorie-count.com
430 Kcalories
5 g of saturated fat
(430 x 5) / 2 = 1050 Kcal
Becomes a penalty of 1050 Kcal that I have to burn extra(about an hour of moderate-high moderate intensity on an elliptical for me....or about an hour 15 minutes rowing, or about an hour run.
....It might make you want to cut your honey bun in half and save some for tomorrow ;)
Edit: I consider meals with less than a gram of saturated fat to be negligible. I might add them up at the end of the day if I haven't had any sat fat rich snack, but my regular workout is more than enough to absorb a little. I make my allowance well below what is "unhealthy" If you put a luxury tax on your sweets, it keeps them in bounds for your diet, but might make you think twice about the portion that you eat.
