is it bad to eat most of your calories at the end of the daY?
i'll be doing really good for most of the day, and then after dinner, i'll eat probably around 1000 calories in the span of like 1 or 2 hours. i'll still be within ~1800 - 2000 calories in total on days like those, but will that make me gain?
It's better to eat regularly than irregularly. Try to get half of your daily calories in before suppertime as a rough average. If you're aiming for 1500 to lose weight, try to get 700-800 in before supper. It means you're less likely to overeat at suppertime if you haven't skimped all day.
The typical adult female needs 1900-2100 cals a day to maintain her weight. So if you're getting 1800-2000 most days then you should maintain rather than gain.
If you save all your calories for the eveing you may experience more bloating, gas and maybe indigestion. Reason being your body slows down in the evening and your digestion is slower. it will take longer to break down your food and you are too close to bed time. Going to bed with too much food in your stomach will cause you to have a restless sleep. Evening is time for your body to go into sleep mode and healing mode. If its too busy digesting everything else goes on the back burner.
Food for thought. Good for you on your success.
Yes, it's not good. Heres why:
The reason is that you use the most energy throughout the day, not night, or evening. If you eat little throughout the day, you are running on little fuel. Then you fill up at night, when you come home, but you ain't drivin' anywhere. You're just sitting in the drive way. And what happens when you don't burn off the energy you put into your body? Fat!

That's not really true. You may feel more energy if you eat earlier but if you are eating the right amount per day it doesn't matter whether you eat lots in the evening, you're body still needs that amount of energy at some point.
'Eating before bed makes you gain weight' is a false myth.
