Just in case you get tempted by the dark side, here's some things you should REALLY STAY AWAY FROM!!

El Pollo Loco's Chicken Nachos: 1088 cal., 68g fat, 21 g sat fat, 111 mg chol., 3081 mg sodium!!

Burger King Double Whopper with Cheese: 990 cal., 64 g fat, 24 g sat fat, 195 mg chol, 1520 mg sodium, 11 g sugar.

Anyone else have some REALLY BAD FOOD warnings?

Nachos Grande Chicken from Rubios 1380cal!!!! Along with alot of other stuff from there like their delicious burritos which I can no longer eat since :(

Ruby Tuesdays Colossal Hamburger has 1943 cals, 141g fat, 74g carbs..no idea on sodium

If you add the fries to that you get 2302 cals, 154g fat, 126g carbs

I don't know about you, but that is more than I eat in 1 day.
chicken dishes both buffalo and crispers at chilis- 1870 cal
The fruit filled pancakes at Denny's rack in over a thousand calories.

Who would think a pancake filled with freaking FRUIT would have so many calories? And there I thought I had made a smart choice ):...
I am glad that most of you have picked both unhealthy and calorifiic foods. I have seen some ppl warn others aginst rice and nuts, claiming that high cals = unhealthy, which makes me sad. Sure you cant have gallons of nuts, but they're still healthy

i went to chilis once, and the entree i ordered and ate all of had more than 1800 calories. i didnt gain weight, but i was still laughing about it after.

( i ordered the beer battered chicken strips with frys and mustard)

3 pieces KFC Original chicken breast is 360 calories x 3. Certainly not good for you by any means since it's 50% fat (25% saturated fat) but I would say it equivocates McDonalds (assuming you eat more than 1 burger).

Well I guess this brings up the question, 'Can a dieter eat fast food?' With a fast-paced work schedule and young kids, etc, sometimes you don't have a lot of choice.

I find that if you study the nutritional information closely enough, you can usually pick out one or two things at each joint that are reasonable options in a mostly healthy diet.

Some examples:

El Pollo Loco Original Pollo Bowl

McDonald's Premium Classic Grilled Chicken Sandwich (NO MAYO) 

Del Taco Beans 'n Cheese Cup

Burger King Tendergrill Chicken Salad w/the lite dressing

Also, most places now offer healthy alternatives to frys for the combos, such as McDonald's Fruit 'n Yogurt Parfait, Burger King Strawberry Applesauce Cup, and El Pollo Loco Refried Beans or Steamed Veggies.

I know that most of this stuff is still processed and loaded with sodium and/or sugar, but if you must go fast food, you CAN choose wisely. Just DO NOT try to have BREAKFAST at a fast food place!
CHIPOTLE GRILL BURRITOs run around 1000-2000 calories!
Read somewhere that some servings of General Tso's Chicken can contain up to 2000 cals.

Yes, that's what I've found, that most places have something I can eat.

Wendy's has the small chili (quite satisfying for me)
Arby's has the Martha Vineyard Salad (do not eat the dressing!) and the roast beef sandwich
McD's has the southwest chicken salad
Baja has the original steak & chicken tacos
Taco Bell has the steak taco al fresco style

So yea, thanks to market pressure you can eat meals that won't ruin your calories at most establishments now. Since I don't count sodium, it works for me!
Neeka, I dont mean to be a stickler here, but at KFC, 3 pieces of Original Chicken = 1,140 cals and 57 g. of fat IF you eat the skin.
10 Mcdonalds hamburgers (no cheese) would be 2,600 cals and 90 grams of fat. Big difference there.  Not even half the cals for the chicken compared to the burgers. Take off the skin and your actually in pretty good shape with the chicken. Skip the bisquits though, they are AMAZING but sooo naughty!
What's scary are the salads at UNOs.  I was going there for lunch one day and thought they would be a good alternative to the deep dish pizza I love so much...WRONG!!!!

Spinach, Chicken & Gargonzola  Salad 800 calories

Chopstick Salad   1010 calories

Ranch Chicken Salad  950 calories

I wound up going with an individual Shroom individual deep dish pizza (hey, when in Rome...)which has marinated mushrooms, spinach, mozarella and grated my romano, thinking that couldn't be too bad...I only ate half of it.  But much to my chagrin, when I got back to my office and looked at the calories and fat, it was like DOUBLE the Prima Pepperoni pizza my friend ate!!!!!  Oh well...gonna get one anyway when I lose this last 8 lbs.!!!!   
I ate at Boston Pizza last night and since I've been good for pretty much the whole month I decided to have their vanilla bean cheesecake - according to their website the calories are 770 (it's a very small slice) and it has 52 grams of fat. *faints* Luckily I shared it with my boyfriend. I take little bites and eat slowly so I hope I got less than half. Also the nutritional info for the cesaer salad was pretty scary.
Yes, bad salads are the worst! No one needs to tell us to watch out for the Big Macs or the stuffed pizza, but for heaven's sake it's easy to expect a salad to be a good choice!
Taco salad or fettuccini alfredo [from anywhere really]...
