Yesterday I tried to eat my 1100 cals.. but I was only at 950 when I went to bed. I was so mad at myself. I have that problem lately where I try to stay under all day because I never know how dinner is gonna go... then I end up under on my cals.... so this morning I woke up and was dizzy. I think I am gonna log what I eat but not care today to try to counter act the damage from yesterday. Plus I am thinking that I might try that 1100 today and 1300 tomorrow, back at 1100 the next day. Keep my body guessing.. Any thoughts?

I had the same problem yesterday. My nutritionist wants me to have between 1200 and 1500. But yesterday after supper I only had 961. I wasn't hungry but still fixed a pb&j before I went to bed to add a few more calories. I don't know if I am supposed to do that, bcs I wasn't hungry.
Its actually good to go over once and awhile, shocks your metabolism, then when you go back down to where ur supposed to be, you will be able to burn more efficiently.
I allways thought that it was good to stay under? I am at 600 cal a day as per my docter and just bearly make it to that 600? If you eat more than 1000 cal how are you losing weight?
whoaaaaa! only 600 a day per your dr???? can I ask how much you weigh?
Guys listen to me...this has been a topic a million times on this site. Your body needs at least 1200 a day to function. Your body will begin to store the fat it has and recieves, goes into starvation mode. abramsl had the right idea, a little peanut butter will give you the cals to complete the day. if you are under one day- no big deal but dont make it a habit.

your dr Really told you to only eat 600 cals a day? I eat 1200-1300 a day and have lost 21 lbs since Jan.
Wow! I might consider another doctor or a second opinion. There is no doctor in their right mind who is going to let someone who weighs 113 go on a 600 calorie a day diet. You are not overweight and do not need to lose weight. When they put very very obese people on a diet because they have an upcoming surgery or have to lose weight for health reasons, the lowest they ever go is 800 calories and that's only for 3 months, and that's just to get them to a healthy enough weight to be able to do what they need to for their health. Your body is in starvation mode and is eating your muscle and storing fat. It's not a good cycle. You need to see a different dr. and get help.
felicia, I eat 1100 to 1200 cals a day and have lost 10 pounds in three weeks. I go the the gym 4 days a week as well and am just active... THAT is how we are losing weight. We are all trying to stay healthy and do this right.. I cannot imagine ANY doctor telling you to only consume 600 cals a day. You cannot survive on that for very long. maybe he said 1600? If you are active that will still aid you to loose weight but at 113, you are fine and don't need to loose any more..

Feliciamohammad - so, it IS safe to eat only 600 calories a day? It is true? WOW!!!!!! how did the doctor conclude that you should only eat 600 a day?

hey feliciamohammad, your goal weight is about the same as mine. Cool!!!! I will never get there though if I follow my dr.'s calorie suggestions. Where did you find your doctor? I think I might wanna visit him...:-) Nah, just kidding. I would like to actually get back to my goal weight though, which is about like yours. I am 2 inches taller than you, but 2 inches isn't that big of a difference
