I don't think it's bad.  I jump from my usual 1400-1600 to 2200 sometimes...I think it's probably good A) so your body doesn't get used to the same caloric intake and get plateau more, and B) so you don't deprive yourself when you really want something.

Do I eat spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread every day?  No...but do I refuse to eat it every time it is presented to me?  Again, no.

I think you're fine, hon.  I wouldn't sweat it.

i didnt think about it that way! im pretty relieved... i too think that its important not to deprive yourself, otherwise it can leave to a binge then guilt!

thanks!

I vary around 500 calories all the time. I just give myself a 500 calorie window every day and just leave it to what I choose to eat on where I end up on it. Usually I end in the lower end of my range, but once or twice a week I get up on the higher side. If anything I think it's helped.

On days when I don't exercise at all - I'll eat about 1300 calories. But sometimes when I exercise I'll eat about 1600. Maybe I worked out for 2 hours one day - then i might just eat 1800!

I personally think its no big deal...in most cases we are guessing/ball parking  the calorie consumption of most items anyways so adding a few here and taking a few there is not a big deal...just continue to do what works and drive forward.

I've been "zig-zagging" from the start, I usually vary between 1500 up to 2200 in a week  like muppetlips (great name!) and I've been steadily losing 2 pounds a week since September. I do it so my body doesn't get used to a steady caloric intake and plateau on me.
