I think you should eat one...just one.  I think you need to just do it so you can move on with your day.  LOL.
of course that's not bad.  if you ask me, it's smart.  I eat chocolate every day....because I work it into my calories.  And I've lost 13 pounds so far.

Eat the chocolate, girl, and enjoy every second of it!!  :D
short answer: yes and no.

yes -- eating a very large chunk of your calories for the day makes it difficult to get proper nutrition throughout the rest of the day. it would be a better idea to enjoy an ounce of dark chocolate, and savor every bite.

no -- if you stay under your calories, you will lose weight. if you plan for your cravings, you're less likely to binge later on. and it's also pretty likely that it's better than before you were working on your health and nutrition, when you would have eaten it w/out planning it into your day.

i say eat it, but try to eat a little and really enjoy it and see if that helps.... if not... eat the whole thing and make sure you're back on track tomorrow! one day isn't going to kill you!
lol i will :)
Hershey, huh? Those taste like wax to me. When I want a chocolate bar I get the Lindt Excellence bar. It's around 200 calories for the whole bar I think. The quality of the chocolate is very good, too.

But yeah you could plan your day around a chocolate bar once in a while if you really want it. Maybe not every day though. :)
how about ghirardelli caramel filled chocolate squares?

mmmmmmmm *drools all over table*
Everytning in moderation.

See it as a reward for losing that weight. Chocolate every once in a while wont kill ya :P
king size 400
normal 200

eat it and take a vitamin.

also there is SF chocolate syrup you could put in milk. or those 100 cal choc jello cups. and i think there is a low cal fudge bar.(icecream)

As long as the day around it doesn't contain marshmallows and graham crackers, I think you will live. I just inhaled 5 servings of trail mix. Hello 800 calorie binge. The good news is...I will be running it off later. I am at a whopping 1000 as of 11:30 am. Oops. This is what I have left for the day's plan...

Late lunch-Sweet and Spicy Starkist Tuna pack 175 cals

Frozen grapes for a snack later 100 cals

Spinach salad with tomatoes, peppers and sugar free balsamic viniagrette 120 cals

Sugar free fudgsicle 40 cals

Total =1435 (Well within maintanence)
yay! the guilt is melting away! :)

im off to buy my chocolate bar. i cant wait till tomorrow!
I have planned a whole day around a milkshake... and sometimes around something good and fried.  The rule is "Everything In Moderation!" :)
Katie,

Have you tried Chocolate Crisp South Beach bars or another brand of chocolate protein bar. They are 210 calories and deeelish. They would be much healthier for you in the long run. Just a thought.
Why not try one of those Clif bar jawns?  There are some amazing chocolatey ones that at least have nutrients!!!

There is one in a green wrapper, the flavor is "Brownie Crunch" and I SWEAR it is way better than a hersheys bar, but nutritious.

I'm from hershey, pa.  Did you know that Hershey Co. paid to have the FDA accept their recipe as "chocolate" because they've changed so many ingredients (not for the healthier trust me) that they FDA did not want to accept it as actual Chocolate! money talks.  just remember that "chocolate" is in reese's pb cups too. how sad :(

a little scary.
My boss took us to lunch today were tehy do the best rueben sandwhich so I planned my whole day around it! this way i got the rueben, im still within my calories and I dont feel bad but i did cheat a little!
I work at a Friendly's restaurant, and I make a point of making myself a sundae almost every day ^_^. I've lost over 5 pounds in 3 weeks anyway, because I plan it into my daily intake. I still maintain 50% carb/25% fat/25% protein ratios, as well.
