Okay, I know a bagel isn't exactly healthy, but is it unhealthy?
I'm planning to have a bagel for lunch today, not toasted and no cream cheese or butter, either plain or with ham and mustard. I'm fitting it into my calorie intake, so do you think it is oaky to eat for lunch?

I don't know if it's unhealthy, but I wouldn't really call it healthy. Since you've factored it in, it obviously won't hurt your weight loss/maintainance efforts, but the problem with a bagel is it's big, and just a whole lot of bleached flour. If it's ohh, say 15% or 20% of that day's calorie intake, then that leaves you a smaller window in which to fit in all the nutrients your body needs.
So again, it isn't bad, it just makes it harder to fuel your body properly.
