bagels...80 calories
how big are they? the lowest calorie bagel i can buy is about 170-180. but they have seeds all over the top so it's worth it.
fayxo - are those the Food Doctor bagels (if you live in the UK)?
Wow, those sound incredible. I wish I could get some!
THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING. You are so lucky to have that place next to your house! Bagels are so good but so high-calorie!
If anybody knows any low-calorie bagels I could buy at Wal-Mart or Kroger's, uhhh they should contact me ;D
I must find those. I cut bagels out of my diet a year ago. I try not to think about how much I like them...

i found these bagels at a little ice cream place by my house that have just 80 CALORIES each. AND 10g protein AAAAND 12g fiber!!!! Cautious carb gourmet or something...has anyone else ever seen these before?
they technically have more. they are just not including the fiber in their calorie count.
so, in reality, they are over 80 cals. they can just SAY its 80 cals because they are allowed to not count the fiber. A lot of 'low carb' products do that to make them look better and for people to buy them. The FDA allows you to either calculate calories with OR without fiber. So it isn't false advertising for them to do it.
Which is also why the calories for Fiber One differ in the US vs Canada and european countries. The US does not include fiber. Other countries do.
the only bagel that comes close around me is the weight watchers bagel and its only like, 110 cals or so. i would love to try the bagel you are talking about!
Sorry to burst your bubble, but it is 80 cals for 1 oz:
Nutrition Facts Serving Size 1 oz (Each Bagel 2 oz) Servings Per Container About 12
So that is the normal 160 cal bagel.
Even if it was 160 calories that's much lower than the normal bagels we get in the UK. The lowest I've ever seen is 187 for the Food Doctor ones. And they're actually a little smaller than normal NY Bagel Company bagels. Oh well.
