Ok, I need to know the best way to bake a squash.
I have never baked squash before, but I have heard a lot of good things about them, but I need to learn to bake them!
I have crookneck squash. If you have any ideas please give me your advice, and if possible, could you include how many calories are in the recipie!!??

For crookneck squash, I'd cut off the neck part and cut the larger part in half to remove the seeds. then peel it, cut it in large cubes or chunks, toss it with just a little olive oil, then sprinkle with salt & pepper. Spread out on a sprayed baking sheet and roast at 350 for about 40 minutes, or until soft and beginning to turn golden.
I also found this nice recipe on iVillage.com

you dont just have to bake it....... If you have a crookneck yellow squash, cut off the neck and a thin slice of the bottom... slice into rings and sautee it with some onions in a little garlic and olive oil or slice it lengthwise down the middle, brush it with some olive oil, season with pepper and garlic powder or what ever you like for seasonings and throw on the grill.....depending on how fat it is... 10 to 15 minutes per side.... Enjoy your squash.....its delicious.
Even easier way for any squash:
Cut it in half lenghtwise, take out seeds. Put cut side down on plate and zapp in microwave till soft. Dif out the flesh, mash it, spice it to your liking and add water to make it into thick soup. It is delicious and great for low calorie lunch with salad.

I make mine like Magan mentioned - when done I drizzle it with Sugar free maple syrup...yummy.
