Ok, this is what I ate yesterday and I was just wondering if you guys thought it was balanced or there were too many "treats" and "bad foods"

Breakfast:

1/2 large whole wheat bagel

1.5 oz reduced fat cream cheese

1/2 cup grapes

Snack:

-large fuji apple

-1/2 cup cottage cheese

Lunch:

-turkey burger without the bun

-lettuce, mushrooms, and onions (a TON)

-1 tbsp honey mustard

Dinner:

-"Mexican plate" with chicken, black beans, sauteed mexican veggies, a couple tablespoons guacamole (no mayo, just avocados and veggies), and a couple tablespoons sour cream

Snack:

-1 slice white cake with raspberries and a large coffee with skim milk

What do you think? I'm trying VERY hard to continue to eat healthy while at college with all the temptations...

Seems pretty balanced to me... though I would say add in more veggies. (But I love vegetables and would tell anyone that). It also looks like you're not getting many servings of whole grains (Only half a bagel?)

Assuming your college cafeteria is similar to mine, the dessert portions are reasonably small so you can indulge in one every now and again without the feelings of guilt or wrecking a diet, just be sure to account for them.

Seems pretty balanced.  I agree that you could use more grains.  Oh and I really hate people who get burgers without the bun.  It's a pet peeve of mine.  You could (should) have the bun and if you don't want a refined white bun then put it on WW bread or an english muffin.

I love fruit so I am saying to get more fresh fruit, too, say at breakfast.

Otherwise you seem to be doing well eating healthy at college.  And don't be afraid of the "bad foods."  You should have them every once in a while.
