The Bank for Losers
This is a fun way to keep yourself motivated to do certain things. These things will help you in your journey to be healthier. At the end of the month, the person with the most "money" in their bank will be the winner!
Here is a breakdown of what you will need to do to get "money" in your bank:
Daily
Water: +$.50 per 8 oz.
Exercise: +$1.00 per 10 minutes
Reach your personal calorie goal: +$2.00
Update the thread: +$1.50
Weekly
Weight Loss: +$5.00 per 1 lb
Penalties
Weighed more than once per week: -$2.00
Went over your personal calorie limit: -$3.00
No exercise: -$1.50
At the end of the month, the person with the highest amount of "money" in their bank will get a certificate of recognition from me. It will be very professional looking as I am quite experienced in making these types of certificates. I will email it to you and then you can print it off and hang it up for everyone to see! Or just keep it on your computer as a reminder of how far you came.
If this goes well, we will do this every month. :-)

i like this challenge. sounds like fun to me. i need to cut out the pop and up the water anywayz.
i only weigh once a week. i don't like to torture myself any more than that! so that one is easy enough.
i am trying to lose the last pesky 11 pounds! this should help!

Its always nice to have a new kind of challenge around here. It keeps things exciting for those of us who have enough weight to lose that its taken awhile. :P

I like the idea of being "paid" for staying on track. I think I will set up a bank next to my computer and try to actually pay myself each time I log. Whatever is in the bank at the end of the month or on the 21st (my birthday) I'll use to reward myself for a month of hard work (let's hope there's a lot in there!)

The one that will be hardest for me is the weighing only once a week... do we really have to do that?! I wanna weigh every day... :-/ :-P
It's more doable for me that way, instead of 2 bucks each time.

Can we also go over +- on the calorie goals? I mean, if my goal is 1800 and I eat 1810, I am not penalizing myself! I say we should say that you have a 50 or 100 calorie leeway.
