Barbecue Sauce without HFCS

Quote  |  Reply

I wanted to buy some barbecue sauce the other day and every single bottle of it in the grocery store had this listed as the first ingredient

Anyone know of any brands that can be bought in a grocery store that don't contain HFCS?

p.s. - no, I don't have time to make my own :)

If your normal supermarket has an organic section, it probably has some HFCS free sauces.  Annie's Organic Naturals offers a bar b que sauce - haven't tried it, but their line of frozen entrees are pretty good, so it's probably worth a try (if they have it).

If you have a Trader Joe's nearby, I believe some of their store brand varieties are HFCS free.  I know that Whole Foods has organic sauces, but going to Whole Foods or even TJs just for sauce may be inconvenient.

That being said, it really doesn't take THAT much time to make a homemade barbecue sauce...just sayin'...

dinosaur bbq sauce!!

dinosaur bbq is a restaurant that started in syracuse, ny and just won best bbq restaurant in the country on good morning america. all their food is amazing, and you can buy their sauces on their website, or at wegmans if you have them in your area. if you live in new york, you may be able to find them at other grocery stores. here's the link to buy them online:http://www.dinosaurbarbque.com/browseProducts .php?cat=1

i recommend the roasted honey garlic bbq sauce but they're all amazing! and the cajun foreplay spice rub will change your life :-)

i have the annies or amys what ever it is,  the maple one.  i really dont like it bought 4 bottles of it one day on sale,  i prefer a little bit of shoneys bbq sauce,  just a little for dipping,  but i eat bbq on plain bread,  i am addicted to condiments.    i would put like 5 condiments on a plate, and just veggies and bread...i do this at home often.

The best sauce is called Bone Suckin' Sauce. It's all natural and it's won all kind of awards. I don't have any jars in the house right now but I remember it being pretty low cal. It does have honey and molasses in it for sweetening but everything is natural. I never eat high fructose corn syrup and this is the only one I found that was natural AND tasted good. I just checked and you can buy it on their website.

If you have a Trader Joe's, their bbq sauce doesn't have any HFCS and it is super nummy.
