Barely Hanging On - Devotion

Quote  |  Reply

We usually end up in the most precarious pathways of life and barely hanging on, by making wrong choices in the first place. Or sometimes, we do life right, and still find our self with wrong thinking about our current position. Either way, it is never too late to do it God's way, taking God's perspective, and find our self on the straight, cleared path according to Proverbs 3.5-6. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart. He has never one time failed you! he never will. He is all-knowing, and we are limited. He sees the world and the events of a lifetime from a perfect and infinite perspective, not a limited view like us. We may not always like His plan. But we can always trust it. Lean not unto our own understanding. Easy to say, yet hard to practice. Stop right now putting all your trust in what you feel, think, or see; and put it in the truth of His Word and the leadership of His Spirit. and do that which is right. In all thy ways acknowledge him. Acknowledge means to intimately and exponentially know someone. In every life-choice today, seek His will and wisdom. And He shall direct thy paths. This is a promise that we will have a smooth, clear, path. Calvary's road is not an easy road or for sissies, but He makes it clear, straight, and smooth. Maybe if we trusted in Him with our whole heart, rested not our life in our limited view, and sought to intimately know Him more and better; we would find our self walking on His pathway, not stuck, feeling like we are simply hanging on the edge. Do you want to walk an adventurous journey in this life or just hang on? I want a journey. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
