barley and/or bulgar wheat

i just bought both and never have had them before. any good recipes that add chicken, fish(tilapia) and/or veggies???

I've made tabouli, which is bulghur wheat salad, and it's very good.  Measure out a cup of the bulghur wheat and put it in a bowl or other heat proof container.  Pour 2 cups of boiling water over it and let it sit, covered, for 20 minutes, or until most of the water has been absorbed.  Then drain it well. This will yield almost 3 cups. Toss it with chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, scallions, minced fresh parsley, and a little lemon, olive oil and salt dressing while it's still warm.  Serve it at room temperature or cold.

I cook barley like rice and add it to soups or serve it as a side dish.
I did the same thing. Bought it and didnt knwo what to do. I used it as a "hot cereal" and it was ok. Try looking up recipezaar.
