Hello everyone! I'm new here on Calorie Count. I've been dieting for about 2 weeks now and I think this will help fill in the motivational gaps I've been experienceing.
I am a BBW (A SSBBW to be exact). I've battled my weight since I hit puberty and various events (two bouts of depression, college, two kids in two years) have caused my weight to skyrocket. I've never dieted for myself before and I am so excited to get my body and my life on track! I'm just wondering if there are any other BBW out there looking for support.

Sorry for the dumb question ... what is a BBW?
ANd Im in.......
Hey Holly! Welcome. I too am a BBW - started on Monday. I love using the logs and keeping track - it really helps the accountability. You may add me as a buddy if you like. Check out "A New Beginning" - that's me! Norma Jean
Welcome! I will say one thing right off the bat - don't think of this as a 'diet', if you want to keep the changes you will need to consider this a 'lifestyle change'.
I agree with the above comment.. I hate the word Diet.. a diet to me is something that I do temporary when I want to lose weight... this for me in a life change... the outcome of this will not be just weight lost.. but i will be healthy.. and lower my chance of dying from a heart attack like alot of people have in my fmaily.. I want to be here for my daughter when she gets older...n e ways.. i am a bbw also.. 295.5.. looking to be 180... you can add me as a friend you like too....

Hey Erica!
Holly I love the thread topic, "bbw" always makes me laugh a little.
I just joined CC on Monday, I am 5'11 and at 275. My goal weight is 200lbs so only 75 to go!
I'd love to add you all as friends as we embark on this 'lifestyle change' together :)
Hello, I am also a BBW. I am 5'2 and weigh 249, so I have more than 100 pounds to lose. I have been a member since July 21, 2008. I came across Calorie Count Plus by accident, looking for a way to log what I eat and help me count the calories I consume everyday. I really like this site so far. Counting calories has been the best thing for me. I have to thank my husband for finding the information regarding "counting calories". So far I have been losing consistently each week. I too believe this is a lifestyle change to making me healthier.
