How soon after you take an active birth control pill does your period stop? I just finished the first pack, and took my first active pill of the second pack today. When will my period end? Thanks!

I doesn't alway stop.  Mine never did when I was on the pill.

It depends on the pill and you, but usually after the second or third pill, I'd say.

I think it depends one you and the amount of hormones in your BCP.  Mine used to stop while still on the sugar pills, but it was always light and short to begin with, but I know girls who always had a heavier or longer flow that kept going for a few days after.  It really depends on your body, but if you have concerns or don't stop bleeding, you should definitely talk to your doctor about it.

I figured that would be the response. Thanks for your help!

I take my active pill on a Sunday and it's usually done by the end of Monday.  But mine has been weird the last few years (Starts on Fri/Sat now instead of Tues like it used to - yes I have about a 2 day period).

Like everyone said, it depends on you and the dosage.  I've been on BC for about eight years, and my body has gone through a lot of changes.  It used to be that couldn't nothing stop that business, but now my period usually stops after the first or second active pill.
