Hello All,

  Its been a while since I have been on this board...or actually counting calories.  After gaining nearly 10lbs back over the Holidays...I am back and very serious about the whole weight loss thing. 

I was looking at my goal date and its set for my Birth Day july 11, to be 40lbs lighter. 

I was wondering if anyone else would be reaching their goal sometimes around summer and would like to join me for a bit of support. 

 

Welcome to the Group.  This group is Officially FULL!!!  This group is exclusively for those wanting to reach their goals by July of 2009.  Each week members will post Weekly goals, updates, and weigh-ins.

TUESDAYS are the Official Check in Day. Please post your weight from Last week (LW),  Current Weight (CW), and your Weekly goals for Nutrition, Fitness, and Weightloss.  Don't forget to review any goals that weren't met the previous week. 

 Good luck everyone, we need each other support and motivation.  This thread will be open until July 30th 2009.

i want to lose 28lbs by summer. ive got my prom in june, a trip to paris not long after that with the school and then im going to spain with my family in july. i plan to be able to walk around in a bikini this summer without feeling self concious. ive even kept the money i got at christmas to spend on a prom dress that will match my new figure. i am definitely looking forward to longer being the token fat girl of my group :).

I would love to lose 40 pounds by my birthday July 4th as I'm travelling to New York!

A month later a bridesmaid at my bros wedding and a month after that at my cousins wedding!

I also agree with louised1991, I'm also sick of being token fat girl. I would love a beach body and people to get motivated with!

gained back 10lbs over xmas and consequently i would also like to loose around 40lbs!

my 22nd birthday is in july and im also graduating from university and those kinds of photos really hang around so id love to look good in them. Also as mentioned above ill be going on a girly holiday to celebrate finishing uni and i don't wanna be the token fat girl, and i can think of no better way of blowing that status out of the water than by looking amazing in a bikini!

this past summer i lost weight looked good and then gained it all back plus some!. right now im standing at about 170!! m goal is 135 for the summer.

 

i went to the gym 2day and forgot my ponytail. i was in there for 15 minutes;( i cant work out with my hair down becasue its so longgg.

I have a family reunion in late July that I want my swimsuit body by. We're having it at the same place we did last year.... A lake. And I'm sick of being the insecure chubby member of the family.

I started at 169 and I'm at 157. Short term I'd like to get down to 140. But 130 would be ideal.

I definitely want to join.

How were we all thinking of doing it? What's best for everyone? We could do weekly weigh in's and encourage one another or have targets per month to try and reach. Yay! I'm feeling really motivated and good about losing weight this time :D x

Hi I'd like to join the group if thats ok?

I am 30 years old and live in the uk. I'm 5ft1 and around 164lbs at the moment having lost around 25lbs slowly over the past 18 months or so (too slowly if you ask me but atleast I'm keeping it off!)

I have a holiday to Faliraki (Rhodes) booked for 15th of July and I'm desperate to have a smokin' bikini bod by the time I go. I actually went last year around the same time at 174lbs so I really want a massive improvement this time around. I have already taken a bikini pic at 172lbs on my profile with the intention of being able to upload a pretty decent 'After' pic before I go on my hols.....atleast thats the plan. At the minute I've been stuck between 163lbs and 165lbs for the last 6 weeks and I'm desperate to get into the 150's!

When is everyone weighing in? I'm in another group which weighs in on a wednesday...I'm not sure if that fits with everyone else?

Hi everyone.  Thanks for the interest. 

I am 25 years old, 5 ft 1, Starting weight 178lbs.  Goal 140. 

I was thinking we do a weight goal...to lose 5lbs over the next two weeks.

A weekly nutritional goal. For example, mine this week is just to weigh all of my portions.  Next week it might be to reduce the amount of fat I am eating...or eat a new fruit. 

And a Weekly Fitness goal..for example mine this week is work out for 30 minutes three times this week, and play with my son on the trampoline. 

I will manage the group and keep the group at 15 people or open to the end of the month.  I was thinking of keeping this a running thread until it got to 5 pages....we could however do monthly threads. 

Additionally, I would like everyone to post their stats and goals every week, on Tuesday.  This will let us get past the weekend hang overs, and give us Monday to regroup and find new weekly goals and get help for any goals that weren't met. 

We all know that we are busy and sometimes its possible to fall of the wagon. That's fine, just know this group will be posted in and active for the next 7 months.  If something should happen during this time..say you get hit by Cupid or  kidnapped by the Easter Bunny, know that we will welcome you back when you are ready.

Hello everyone. I would like to join if that is okay. I have been on CC since October. I lost about 10 pounds, and then gained around 5 back over the holidays...I love all the pies and candy! My friends and I always go on a trip during the summer, and I would LOVE to feel confident in a bikini by then. I am usually the one wearing the swimsuit that sort of resembles a dress, while my friends are all wearing bikinis. As of this morning, I weigh 157.6lbs. MY goal weight is around 135lbs.

I am 23 and 5'6".

Weekly nutritional goal: Stay under or equal to my goal intake (1600) every day.

Weekly fitness goal: Join the gym on Friday, and try to go at least 3 times by next Tuesday.

Weight goal: I would like to try to lose 5 lbs over the next two weeks as well.

I am starting back my second semester of grad school next week, so I will be busy, but I am really motivated to make a change and stick with it. Cool

I would love to join your group.  In 2005 I lost about 20 pounds, but I'm almost back to my start weight.

I'm 5'3 and 184 pounds.  I would like to get to 160 (baby steps) and then maybe 150.  my first goal will be to start counting calories and add exercise 3 days a week.

My birthday is June 5th and I am hoping to lose 20 pounds by then!

So far, I am doing okay on my goals.  I started the cc exercise program. I figure why not..its twelve weeks of all around training already planned for me.  After that's over I'll train for a 5K. I need some sort of physical goal to keep going. I cannot workout for the sake of being in shape...sad I know.

Hi All,

My name is Mansi and I would love to join a group like this.  I'm 26 and would like to lose about 20 pounds as my wedding is July 3rd.  I am currently at 141, but am hoping to get down to 120 for the big day.  I'm quite the foodie, so I find it very difficult to calculate the calories in Asian/Indian/Arabic etc. food.  Does anyone have any advice?  I don't really want to eat boiled chicken and salad for the next 6 months, but at the same time I will do what it takes.

On Monday I started doing Tae Bo (Cardio Celebrity Fit workout) after work and 100 sit ups right after as well as 70 sit ups in the morning.  It's only been 3 days, but I'm trying to keep it up.  I have a small gym in my apartment building so I want to start using the eliptical again as well.  I have been tracking my calorie intake on the website as well.

I was hoping to be about 130 by Feb 6 (as I am also going to Cuba with some friends), but I know that might pushing it. 

Does anyone have any hunger combating advice!?

hey guys! i would like to join too if there's room! i think it would be really helpful to have some where to go for advice/ranting/questions! plus i would LOVE to not be so damn self conscious at the beach and have a great time without worrying abuot my thighs rubbing or my tummy!! i gained about 7 pounds since the holidays started and i'd love to get rid of that and then get down to my goal weight!

I would like to join this group too!  I've never worn a regular bikini, and I even feel uncomfortable in a bikini top and shorts.  I'd like to change that this summer! Plus I have a feeling my boyfriend's going to propose this year, so I'd like to get in to wedding shape early. :)

I'd love to join your group too.  I've been around CC for 2 years now, but just started over after taking a year break and gaining 30 of the 40 pounds I lost back.  We decided to try to have another baby and ended up doing fertility treatments and the hormones completely destroyed all the hard work I had done the year before.  We were unsuccessful and I've decided to give up on trying to have another baby and focus on getting back in shape.


My current goal is to lose 30 pounds by June 1 when we go on vacation to the beach.  I want to be able to fit into the clothes I was able to wear 2 years ago and look better in my bathing suit.

My ultimate goal is to weigh 150lb.  The lowest I've weighed is 135, but I don't know how realistic that is at this point in my life.

Is it too late to join?  My 1 year anniversary is on July 19th and I have set that as my goal date to get to 150...I am currently at 190.   I had a baby 8 weeks ago and am still carrying about 30 from that, but was already overweight.  

My goals are to do at least 4 hard workouts a week, but do SOMETHING active every day, even if it's just a walk around the block with the baby.  And of course cut back on calories, I have been way too easy on myself for the last 10 months or so!!  

Should we do weekly weigh ins or anything like that?
