Beach Body by July, Group (CLOSED)
Hello All,
Its been a while since I have been on this board...or actually counting calories. After gaining nearly 10lbs back over the Holidays...I am back and very serious about the whole weight loss thing.
I was looking at my goal date and its set for my Birth Day july 11, to be 40lbs lighter.
I was wondering if anyone else would be reaching their goal sometimes around summer and would like to join me for a bit of support.
Welcome to the Group. This group is Officially FULL!!! This group is exclusively for those wanting to reach their goals by July of 2009. Each week members will post Weekly goals, updates, and weigh-ins.
TUESDAYS are the Official Check in Day. Please post your weight from Last week (LW), Current Weight (CW), and your Weekly goals for Nutrition, Fitness, and Weightloss. Don't forget to review any goals that weren't met the previous week.

not really looking forward to getting on the scale tomorrow! had a rough sunday with going to the movies and over indulging with all the treats there...also we had pasta tonite and while i did try to portion control, i probably over ate tonite as well....one good thing is that i've continuously exercised the past week. maybe no loss tomorrow, but i'll take maintaining over gaining!
Tomorrow is not going to be pretty, haha. My boyfriend took me out tonight since I started school today, so I probably haven't lost any. :( Oh well, just start over, right?

I lost 5.5lbs this week! -hahaha! i'd love to take credit for it but it was TOM and i was incredibly bloated this time last tuesday; though i do think there's a couple of pounds of actual weight lost so im pretty happy with that!
Aims for this week: Get my butt back into the gym and aim for a loss of 2lbs!

Good morning! Hope everyone had a good week. I didn't make it to the gym at all over the weekend like I planned (no husband or child around so no excuses there) due to bad weather. We had snow on Saturday and freezing rain Sunday. So yesterday I made it back again. My goal is to go at least 3 times a week, more if I can handle it.

I lost 5 pounds since I started! I'm totally thrilled.

Scales still not willing to budge but I'm starting to think I may be undereating as I've been focusing more on eating healthy and not so much on calories but when I totted up my meals yesterday to see what was going on I was way, way under my calories, considering I work out for 2hrs per day I was actually under 1200 when I should be 1600 - 1800. Lesson learned, I will start religiously logging my calories from now on and see if I can get the scale moving again.
Good morning, its great to see so many here checking in. I had an alright week over all. I have managed to do nearly all of my workouts, and eat about right. The only day I didn't log calories was the day I made Chicken Enchiladas, and I didn't log the small slice of cake I ate. The reason I didn't log the things was beause I was too lazy to figure out the calorie content.
Today is a work out day, its a strength training day. I'll be at the gym today, as its the day for my kids Ice skating lessons.

I know its a major loss. I think I loss all of the weight I did because I was essentially starving myself. I had miscalculated the calories I needed using CC tools. I didnt calculate for actually working out...in the past I have counted calories with not many work outs.
My gaols this week, Keep working out. Eat all of my Calories. Take my body measurements, and get enough confidence to take a "Before" picture.

well....gained 2 pounds...feeling kinda bummed about it too. it's TOTM and so i know much of that gain has to do with water retention but it still sucks to be seeing those numbers again. i feel like all my hard work i did before to get down in weight i just threw out the window over the holidays. also, i was getting ready for work (i hate work clothes...they can be so unforgiving!!) and i put on a pair of my dress pants that USED to be loose on me...haha i can still button them which is good, but it's just another realization that i'm starting over....i wish i could be one of those people who can jsut eat what they want and not gain weight, but i've got to realize i'm not. anyway...

Well, I stepped on the scale and lost exactly one pound this week. I was pretty good about keeping to my goals. I went to the gym 3 times and stayed under my calorie limit. I would have liked to see a little more weight loss, but one pound is still okay with me. This weeks goals:
Exercise goal: Do at least 10 miles total on the elliptical this week.
Weight goal: Lose 2 lbs this week.
Nutrition goal: Stay within calorie range all week.

I missed my nutrition goal (eat out only two meals--I ate out three meals). The good thing is that when I did eat out, I really payed attention to portion control and I think that was a major change for me. Normally I'd eat much of what they put in front of me.
I met my exercise goal (the workouts are easier for me than the food-watching) which was to lift weights three times this week in addition to my cardio.
This week's nutrition goal: 750 deficit each day.
This week's exercise goal: Walk at least one way from my car to my office or vice versa each day without taking the bus (it's about a two-mile walk) in addition to cardio, weights.

Heya! I'm so pleased this week! It was getting closer and closer to Tuesday and I hadn't lost anything and I was getting so worried, and then today FINALLY a loss! Phew! :D So happy, and well done everyone you're doing so great :D xx 3lbs gone for me so far -

It's a loss but I am sad. I thought I did better. I even worked out two days last week. I hate weekends. Goal this week....Log calories allll weekend. I normally just guesstamate in my head over the weekends. But I must count.

what a week! wow i think this has been my worst week ever, health wise. ive got a stomache flu and fever, but on days i felt okay, i did get myself into the gym (3 times this week). ialthough i am quite backed up... i havent gone... i did manage to keep my 3lbs off.

-ooh i think thats a really good idea karenn1! Mainly cause mine are pretty scary at the moment (im hips-y) and it should give me a good kick up the bum!
Ill put mine up later; bust, waist, hips, thighs? just need to find a tape!

Lost 5 lbs, wahoo! I think a lot was water weight though, and cutting out a lot of carbs. I did pretty good for the past week until last night, the hubs wanted to go out and we went to a cajun place that doesn't have anything not covered in cream sauce, butter, etc.
On a good note, my husband finally got me my xmas present...a wii! We boxed last night and I am totally sore from it today! I can't wait to get the fit and start using that too, I've heard it's sooo fun.
My goals for this week are to keep cals between 1300 and 1500, and get some exercise everyday, even if it's just a 30 min walk. I go back to work next week so I really need to take advantage of my last week off!!
Alright...sorry I'm a day late on the weigh in. Yesterday was a bit nuts.

So, I'm down 1.5 pounds. I guess it's a start. I've been working out about 4 times a week (either Tae Bo or eliptical and a few weights), so I'm happy about that. Trying to up it to 5 times (allow myself 2 days off). Also continuing with situps in the morning and afterwork...they are getting easier to do!
I'm finding it tough to calorie count...sometimes it's so time consuming to look it up, but I am trying to be healthier in my choices and control my portions.
Small Success: Noticing that my stomach is getting smaller...i.e. don't need as much food to fill me up. It's nice to feel full faster and not over eat.
Mess-Ups: Went out for Chinese food, (which is not so bad, b/c I controlled my portions...but I have no idea how to count those calories). BUT after dinner we went to the movies and I had half a big bag of peanut M&M's :o( Perhaps the culprit of not bringing me down the extra .5 pounds?!
Weight loss is weight loss LOL. Today I have to work out again. I will prolly do that early since its a cardio work out.
Today I am planning next weeks meals, and things are tight in my house. ITS extremely difficult to make dietary changes when you have NO MONEY.
My family and I are planning on Joining a Food Co-op and CSA this spring but I don't think I can wait on that.
I have done good so far this week with trying to eat enough...though most of my filler calories have been carbs. :(

Small Successes:
Yesterday, I went to subway and ordered a large unsweet tea with my meal. They gave me a sweet tea instead. I would usually drink it anyway, but I gave it to my boyfriend instead. I know it is a small thing, but I think they will all help to add up to me being bikini confident by July!

Having a terrible week! Had a car accident on Tuesday-some idiot in a jeep drove into me at about 30 miles an hour whilst i was at a petrol pump; thank god i was still sat in the car! He tore a massive hole along the front left side-my cars a Punto so it crumpled...now its in the garage. But on the positive side at least im doing more walking... :-s
Also got this horrible flu/cold thing thats been going around so have been in bed for three days and haven't gotten a workout in yet this week. Hoping hoping hoping i haven't gained as i have been sticking to my healthy eating despite the lack of exercise, so im proud of that and a maintenance of last weeks weight isn't the end of the world!
