I have heard so much about turbo jam, slim in 6, power 90 but I am so confused as to which ones are good and which ones to buy. Its overwhelming! Plus there are SO many turbo jams to choose from!
I tried tae-bo a long time ago and did not like it, is turbo jam the same thing? Does it get boring to do the same 40 min turbo jam everyday? Thanks!
I can tell you that I've been doing TJ for almost seven months and have lost 22.6 inches from my body in that time. I have almost all the TJ dvds, just not the ones for the ball, and I love them all. It'd be hard to pick one or two out at this point....I also use weighted hand gloves with them to increase my calorie burn.
As an aside, although I do weight work-outs at the gym and I have a treadmill and stepper here at home, I usually opt for TJ for my cardio because it's more fun than the other stuff! LOL Especially in the winter when I can't speed walk out doors that much (I live in Maine.)
I've never tried slim in 6, but my bro does P90X and loves it! I need to borrow it from him to give it a try.....

get turbo jam! its seriously the best thing thats ever happened to me!
I am also wondering about turbo jam. There are so many TJ videos to pick from! I am have a hard time deciding which one to order first. I really like the Maximum Results package but I am also tempted by the Ellite Videos (with resistance band). Do you think the Maximum Results package covers it all or does the Ellite package offer something that Maximum Results leaves out? I am all about results, so I don't mind doing the same routine over and over again - if it works, it works!

POWER 90!!! If you are looking for an intense a$$ kicking workout then go with P90X. I have heard from a lot of people on here that it is TOUGH! I'm doing power90 right now (not X) and I'm still getting a good workout. I am bumping up to the higher level 3-4. I have lost 14 lbs. so far in just under 30 days. I have been slacking a little bit lately, but the good thing with p90 is that you can jump right back into it at any time and still feel comfortable. The ab workout is intense but I feel it working already.

My name is Kimberly and I'm an independent Beachbody Coach. The Fat Burning Elite Package is a bit more challenging than the Max. Results Package, but they are both very good cardio workouts. Turbo Sculpt in Max. Results, uses hand weights for its resistance work and 3T in Fat Burning Elite uses resistance bands so if you have a personal preference, that should help you make your decision.
As far as an over all body workout, I would recommend Slim in 6 or Power 90. They incorporate cardio and resistance at the same time. They are very structured workouts and are repetitive, but they are very effective.
I posted my pics in my gallery. The after pic is after 6 weeks of Slim in 6. I will be finishing another round of SI6 on Sunday and plan on posting new pics.

Does anyone know anything about the claim that Turbo Jam is not delivered in time? I have read a number a messages (on other websites) that indicate people have paid for Turbo Jam and have not received it (or have received it months later).

I haven't had any problems ordering any of the beachbody products and I've been ordering them regularly since January (workouts, supplements, replacement shakes and protein bars). I usually get my stuff within 10 days from ordering. I think the soonest I've gotten something is 5 days and the longest is 10 days. It depends on what day your order. Ordering on Fri, Sat, or Sun takes a bit longer.

Although I love the exercise, I find that I am feeling the workout more in my back than in my abs. Does this mean that I am doing something wrong? I really want a good ab workout! I am not sure if I am doing all the kicks right either. It's hard to get used to the routine I suppose, but I am finding it frustrating to know if I am suppose to keep my tailbone tucked for the entire workout - the people on the tape seem to do a lot of bouncing (tailbone in and out), is that what I am suppose to do for the entire time?
Does anyone know where I am get more instructions on the kicks - they don't outline how to do these properly in any of the manuals. :(

Hi JLC,
I'm not sure which TJ version you have, but the Max results package has an introductory workout that shows the moves and provides index cards with her basic moves. I didn't feel much in my abs either, but I took before and after pics and I could definitely see the difference in the shape of my waist. Please refer to my success pics in my gallery to see my turbo jam results after 4 weeks. It's the third pic of the 4 progress pics in my 4 month cycle.

I love turbo jam. I have tons of workout DVDs, and I try to do at least one a day, but when I'm just not in the mood, I always do turbo jam because it's the most fun, the most motivating, and makes me happy. And it's true, the music is good. I thought it was annoying when I first started (and I would get soooooo embarrassed when i would do "tuck/release"/ "Pump" - I called it "air-humping") - but anyway, now i like the music and the workouts and Chalene. I have the max results DVDs, and I want to buy the rest so I have more variety.
As far as getting a really good workout, I can't tell you about just turbo jam, because I combine it with many other programs, but I can tell you that the ab jam is a KILLER ab workout, and I am starting to get a 6-pack for the first time in my life.
In the end, you get out of a workout what you put in, so find one you really like doing and will push you.
