Do you go to bed at the same time as your OH?

I think it's a nice thing to do, particulary as I'm out the house pretty much before my BF even gets out of bed.  but for some reason he's just started staying up later than me, I know I go to bed pretty early, I love sleeping and only get 8 hrs at best but am I over reacting for feeling almost rejected?

We should change SO's. She'd rather stay up till 11-12 drinking instead of spending time with me 90% of the time so I just gave up. And YES, rejected is exactly how it feels.
Nah- He's a graphic designer so he'll often pull all-nighters on projects with deadlines and etc. I have to say it is nicer to go to bed together, because he does get up before me. But, I understand because you gotta do what you gotta do.
I wish we could go to bed at the same time! He works 11pm-7am, so right as I'm going to bed, he's going to work :(

my bf and i dont live together but will be soon as we bought a house and i wonder what type of pattern we will develope....we both like to get a good sleep and tend to go to bed around the same time so im curious.

I dont think it would bother me if every now and then we didnt go to bed at the same time - its bound to happen...

My husband and I pretty much always go to bed at the same time. We have been married 6 months thus far. I like that we do. I used to have a significant other who would stay up later than me every single night and sometimes it would be to go to the bar or night club. I was very unhappy with that and I'm glad it's over.
We both read in bed for around an hour every night and we're usually both going in to read within minutes of each other. It's nice reading in bed with the husband every night, it's sort of one of "our" things.
my hubby went to bed before me.  I enjoyed the peace and quiet to read a little, or watch TV alone.  Within minutes he'd stick his head out the door and say, "are you coming to bed'?  If I said, I wanted to read, he'd say, "come in here and read".  So I did, but then within a few minutes he'd say, "are you ready to turn the light off?"
For the most part, yes.  Alex tucks myself and my stuffed penguin in bed before we go to sleep, but there are sleepless nights where I'll tuck him into bed, wander off and work on a project somewhere, and then crawl into bed a few hours later.  He still wakes up and tucks me in.

And then there're the nights when Alex is particularly tired.  He'll take a nap before bed and I'll paint his toe nails or something.  Then he wakes up, watches Sex and the City with me, and we both go to bed.
Whenever possible we do, sometimes he stays up later than I do and watches tv. So that I can sleep, we got some wireless headphones so he can watch tv and doesn't disturb me and we still get that "closeness" of being together.

This is a female obsession. I had the same problem. Why is it that when they are ready to go to bed we have to. The reason why he does this is because he enjoys his alone time. I am the same way. I love video games! When she is home and awake I don't play them. This is time for us. When she is away or sleeping, this is my time to play video games, watch what I want to watch, websurf, or whatever. I need this time for me. I would go insane if all my time was devoted to her and work. We need time devoted to ourselves. I guarantee that if you let him have his space, he will want to spend more time with you and want to go to bed at the same time more often.

It just depends on the night for us. I might stay up a little longer than the wife, but I cannot go to bed early she has to go with me. I would say about 90% of the time we go at the same time, except for weekends I will stay up longer.

We go to bed at the same time usually.  But, we don't necessarily go to sleep at the same time.

I'm not really a lovey dovey touchy feely public display of affection kind of girl so bed time is our time "together" to be physically close.  For that reason, we retire in bed at the same time but, I usually go to sleep first.

There are def. exceptions to the rule like when the College Bowl games were on and he was yelling at the tv until midnight...he must do that at one of the other 7 tvs in the house =)

It works for us!!!

For the most part my fiance and I usually go to bed at the same time and he gets up about 2 hours before I do but on occassion he'll stay up later or I'll stay up later (like last night because I had taken a nap that evening) and it doesn't bother me. I don't think it bothers him either but if it became a nightly thing then yea I would feel a little lonely or rejected. I know he would too. Sometimes he's more sensitive than I am.
I usually go to bed first, and I don't know about anyone else, but I kind of love having the bed all to myself for a little while! I get to take up all the room and fidget as much as I want! Of course, I do get up way before him, but we always make time to sleep in together on Sunday mornings and we make time to snuggle.
Never!  He's up @ 5:15 for work.. I sleep in till around 7:30.. I have never been a big sleeper so I am just used to going on less sleep in general
My b/f usually comes up about 30 mins after me but I'm not asleep, just brushing my teeth, taking out my contacts, tidy-ing up the bedroom.  So it's kinda my private time and then we get in bed around the same time but he says up to watch the tv on low after i fall asleep.  But I like my alone time everynight for a little bit.

Sometimes, not often. She prefers staying up late, and so does, often, whereas I am usually in bed early and up early.

But sometimes we go to bed at the same time.

most nights we do go to bed at the same time, but once every few weeks he's got his friends round and while i'm more than welcome to hang out with them, i go to bed early to let them have fun, drinking and watching crap telly and talking about things i just don't understand, its nice though, because he'll come up and few hours later and be extra snuggly.
I love going to bed first, dog Kane comes and lays with me.. I take time to write and think and when he comes to bed usually an hour later my brain is clear and I amnot nagging him to sleep:)
