Bedtime snack? Sweet ideas?

Quote  |  Reply
I was wondering if you guys had any recipes that are like, bite size cluster type cookies... low cal of course! I sometimes find I really crave something sweet but I don't want to buy something in a box, I'd rather make it.... any ideas?

1.5 cups granulated splenda (for baking) 2/3 cup i can't believe its not butter! light, packed 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup egg beaters 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup whole wheat flour 3 cups rolled oats 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon (or less, to taste)

combine ingredients in order. refridgerate dough until firmer. if you make teaspoon-full sized balls, you should get about 36 cookies out of the recipe. bake at 350 degrees for about 11 minutes for a softer cookie, 13-14 for a crunchy cookie. calories will vary depending on what oats you use and what flour you use, but they should come out to about 80-100 calories per cookie.

these are good

I haven't tried these but I want to :)

Pumpkin Bites
mmm sounds yummy....

They sound good but really, 80-100 calories PER COOKIE?  Wow - that's a lot for ONE cookie. I could never eat just one anyway but I think that I'll try to make these for those who aren't watching their calories here in my house!

Sweet dreams.

You could always get thsoe 100 calorie cookie packs..  i forgot what they're called, but each pack is only 100/cals..

Or for a late night snack i'll usually just have some cereal.. that seams to do the trick!

I took one of my daughters little packs of teddy grahams.  It was sweet and really crunchy.  Hit the spot.
My new favourite bedtime snack is a steaming cup of diet swiss miss chocolate. Especially the undisolved bits at the bottom. Mmmmmm.. undisolved bits at the bottom...
my favorite sweet bedtime snack is a banana blended with ice, 1/2 c light vanilla soyu milk, 1 splenda and 1/2 tsp cinnamon, with a sprinkle on nutmeg on top.  yuuuuummmmmmm
I like to take about a quarter cup of Fiber One cereal and add it to a jello SF pudding pack and then have that with some warm tea.The pudding and the crunchy fiber one are very satisfying. Plus you get extra fiber. Sometimes I add some FF Reddi Wip on the top! You can have all of that for 100 calories.
I know its not a cookie but i grab a handful of grapes and shove em in the freezer, that way if i want something sweet i just take those out and eat them. its almost like candy since you cant bite right into them..

actually you know what I tried the other day and it's wicked?

Frozen POMEGRANATE seeds!!! I'm telling you I love them... but they aren't really filling...lol
