Do you believe in Aliens?

Nah.

In an infiinite universe the laws of probability suggest that somewhere life exists in some form.  Whether it's organised or advanced enough to come and pay us a visit is very doubtful. 

What do you class as an alien?  I think of all the planets / moons / galaxies etc it would be very naive to think that this is the only planet that has developed to enable a living form, and perhaps even pretentious to believe that in all that space humans are the most intelligent species.

Oh, I DO believe that Aliens would probably exist. Given that there's millions of universes, some larger than ours, and thus, more stars and planets than most of us could count in a single lifetime, I believe that the conditions that made life possible here on Earth probably did happen someplace else.

But due to the sheer VASTNESS of space, and the HUGE distances between stars and planets, I doubt we'll ever meet one.

Yes, I believe they may very well exist.  I don't beleive we have come in contact with them yet nor are they visiting us...

maybe this is a real world "Truman Show" and we are being watched from another Galaxy through a big glass bowl, maybe our entire lives are a source of entertainment for an interactive alien tv show, where they can make us or break us! :D

I am not so egotistical that I believe that we are all alone in the universe.  There are infinite galaxies and infinite possibilities for life.  I also don't believe that we are the most advanced... we are still using OIL for pete's sake!

I believe the universe is so large that the conditions to host life could have very easily occured in parts of it other than Earth. So yeah, why not?

I think it's hysterical that because I'm not convinced one way or the other assumptions are being such as

naive, pretentious, and egotistical, when there is absolutely no proof that they do exist. :)

There was a South Park like that, where "Earth" was a reality show for aliens from all these different galaxies, and the kids had to stop it from getting canceled or else the Earth would be destroyed in a "set strike down". It was funny.

Of course theyre out there but unfortunately, not looking as hot as Spock. 

 

coffincritter: well if I was going to believe in them for sure, then I would definitely go for the Truman show side, although I wish I could have a word with the directors because I think I am being bullied :D
