I think it's hysterical that because I'm not convinced one way or the other assumptions are being such as

naive, pretentious, and egotistical, when there is absolutely no proof that they do exist. :)

Agreed.  Just because I don't believe in aliens, it doesn't make me naive, pretentious, or egotistical.

I could just as easily say that you are ignorant, foolhearty, and naive because you do believe.

for sure i do, they'll get here eventually, or we'll get to them.

i'd say the chances of them being far more advanced than us are probably just as good as the chances of them being far less advanced than us.

i hope we find em or they show up in my lifetime though.

I think it is awfully arrogant to suppose that we reside in the infinite universe as the only so-called 'intelligent' life.

If it can happen here, I am certain it has happened elsewhere.

Yes, for the same reasonable argument everyone else used. In an infinite universe it would be highly unlikely that this one small planet was the only one that could sustain life. There are probably millions, billions...whatever of other planets with life. If conditions were slightly different evolution may have occurred differently so it's impossible to guess what they'd be like. And there's probably so many that some will be way more advanced than us, and others less so.

So I'm proud and overbearing! because I don't just believe in them, and dare to question it?

I question everything that can't be proven beyond doubt :)

So i'm guessing your not a christian?

#30) not sure what that has to do with the price of cheese? but no I'm not.

We are definately not the only life in this entire universe. There is sooooo much of it. It never ends. it just goes and goes and goes and goes and goes. It can't stop, because if it does, what is on the other side? More. Which means more life.

off topic but your new hair colour schnooder really suits you.

Well thank you! I was thinking the same thing. It is closest to my real color. A dark cherry brown :)

your welcome, it's very eye catching :)

What do you class as an alien?  I think of all the planets / moons / galaxies etc it would be very naive to think that this is the only planet that has developed to enable a living form, and perhaps even pretentious to believe that in all that space humans are the most intelligent species.

 totally agree with this post

I say that aliens are a possibility and I would not rule them out, but I am not convinced either!

Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us. (Calvin)

In an infiinite universe the laws of probability suggest that somewhere life exists in some form.  Whether it's organised or advanced enough to come and pay us a visit is very doubtful.

Took the words right out of my mouth!
