Belts

Hey everyone, in DESPERATION I'm turning to calorie counters to help me find a simple, brown leather belt! I've been looking for MONTHS and cannot seem to find one amongst the endless plastic/decorated load of rubbish in my local shops!

I've lost 15lbs but have 20lbs to go until I reach a healthy weight and my jeans are starting to reveal a bit too much of my underwear! I work as a waitress and the uniform consists of black jeans, which are now all too massive-obviously theres no point replacing them now, then again when I lose the next 20lbs so I reeeeeally need a belt!

Ideally I'd like something like this:

...but I live in the UK and the shipping costs are ludicrous! Any shop suggestions?!

Look in the men's sections of stores. There are often a better selection of plain leather belts there. Who would know if it was designed for men or women if it was just a plain simple design?

Have you tried looking on amazon.com or ebay.com? I've gotten some great belts from both of those sites...I know for sure there are UK sellers on ebay.

haha, ok, i feel really stupid now, I just went onto the topshop website, clicked onto the mens section and there were rows and rows of exactly the kind of belt I wanted! Why do highstreet stores assume every girl wants all their accessories coated with glitter?!

I can second that! I always buy belts in the men's dept, they are much more practical, and less cute.

I'm bit more tomboyish than girlish, but I often also buy shirts and shoes there as I have a large chest and wide feet.

You're welcome. Don't feel stupid. You were just stuck in a paradigm. If I want a plain leather walking sandal, I head to the men's department too.

 Yes!  I was in the same situation a couple of months ago and my husband suggested the same.  I got a very nice and simple brown leather belt from the men's section.
