What Benifits Have You Noticed?
Mine are:
1. A 100 lb weight loss.
2. Nicely toned and defined legs.
3. Some definition in my arms (biceps and triceps).
4. A much improved fitness level...resting heartrate is about 58 bpm.
5. Lower blood pressure. It went from 144 over 100 to 116 over 63.
These are all from my elliptical as it's really the only excersise I get. What have you noticed?
Hi freakybunny,
Thank you for sharing your gain. Very happy to here about these big achievements:
I am just starting. So hopefully will post my benifits in couple of months!!
I am girl with a big hard calf muscles. Do you think I can get benifits in havinging them to be smaller. Any tips regarding the sitting of my elliptical to get most benefit to my calf muscles!!!.
Ellipticals tend to work the upper legs and the butt more than the calves, at least in my experience. The settings on our machines like tension and incline are just part of the picture. Do you feel it in your calves when you work out? The day after? If not, my bet would be that the elliptical is not contributing much to the development of that muscle group.
In my experience, the elliptical is more for cardio than for muscle growth, although with changing your stance and direction you can get some of those benefits.
So...let's throw the question out there to the rest of the group and get some of that great collective wisdom: Do your calves get developed on your machines?
Thank you freakbunny,
Good tip, I'll watch for the next day pain and will see the deference in shape next month!!. The first day no much pain in my calves. So I'll be brave and will increase the incline and tension gradually and will see!!![]()
Thanks
