Best Documentary
What's yours?
I'd have to say Children Underground simply because it's haunted me for YEARS but it also kept you glued to the set just hoping that things would turn out for them... I've stopped thinking about them. I mean, I have NOT stopped thinking about them. haha
Anyway, what's your favorite doc?

Oh god, I forgot about Zoo. The music was so spacey and tranquil it made me drowsy, and by the end of the film I was still left wondering "but exactly HOW do they do that, what are the mechanics?"
Unfortunately, when I mentioned my confusion on some movie review forum, someone else posted a link to a video that showed EXACTLY "how they do that", and now I can't unsee it. :(
I loved "Children Underground" as well, jenniferthepennifer.
i've got a good one and it's controversial though.
"Taxi to the Dark Side" everyone has to check it out.
coffincritter - LMAO I bet that's burned in your mind for good now! Those guys REALLY loved animals! ewww
alibsam - Did Children Underground haunt you for a long time? It upset me soo much! I guess because I have child their age and seeing them huffing paint and so whacked out.. it made me have horrible nightmares of my son doing drugs and me feeling I had no control and I'd scream in my dream like nooooooooooooo.. uggh.. And how the passerby's would hit/cuss/push/step over these kids like they were nuances.. when they were babies.. alone!
helpless.. I've never heard of Taxi to the Dark Side.. I'll have to look that up - I'm always looking for more documentaries to see and I like controversy! :)
I can't believe no one's mentioned Grey Gardens. It's one of the most poignant and truthful documentaries ever made. The Maysles brothers always did a spectacular job.
