best earphones?

Quote  |  Reply
Just started a new running program (Couch to 5K) so that I can get in rockin' shape for a hiking trip in May. I also found a pretty good podcast to go with it. The only problem is that my current set of earphones don't seem to stay on as well on a jog as they do while I'm, say, sitting on my @$$ or walking to class.  Can anyone suggest a style or brand of head phones/ ear whatever that can stand up to all the bouncing? Thanks!

I'm an avid runner and had the same problem with the standard earbuds.  If you don't mind spending the extra money, I purchased the Altec Lansing Eclipse S.  They are awesome.  Sound is great and you can adjust so that you can also hear whats going on around you.

try sony

they clip aroudn your ear so they dont fall off and they are under 10$.

they look like this

Sennheiser PMX70 Sport Line Stereo Neckband Headphones have been great. A little expensive, but stay put and sound great. I have had mine for over a year and no problems.

Did a quick search for you on head-fi.org

I've got the Koss KSC-75s and they rock - amazing sound quality,  but you can still hear sound from the "outside world," just in case a car is coming right at you.

though I might not reccomend an IEM for running because of the noise it supresses from the outside world.  Again -  just in case a raving lunatic decides to come screaming at you with a flyswatter and toilet plunger.  (just for example.)

Koss KSC75s are the over ear clip on style.   Adjustable by just bending the metal clips.   My mom, my dad, and myself all have sets now.
