Up until last year my favorite vacation was the trip my hubby and I took to Hawaii for my mom's wedding.  It was way too much fun, a good portion of my family was there, the scenery was beautiful and romantic... All in all a good time.  But then...

Last year I went cruising on Carnival - and let me say I was more than pleasantly surprised - my hubby and I had so much fun and created so many memories that we found it necessary to book another cruise for our anniversary this year.  We got to see several places we had never been, food/drink was never an option and those sea days!!! One day I spent the entire day talking fine art while drinking champagne and eating chocolate covered strawberries!!!  Another was spent between the spa and the pool.... Uber relaxing.  We have dubbed it 'mindless vacationing'.

So where have you been or what have you done that has become the highlight of your vacation history REEL?

London will always be the special place for me to go. Of course there are other exotic places i'd like to go first, like Mexico (might not be so exotic if you're from the US) but if I had to chose one single place in the whole world, I think it would be London. New york was such a huge dissapointment!!!

Congrats on your baby by the way!

I have to second London - I've been there three times so far and cannot wait to go back.  All the history is amazing.  The culture is awesome (I felt chic just being there!) and unlike many other European countries (in my opinioin), the people are friendly.

I also really love Alaska.  It's so beautiful and there are many fun, adventuresome things to do there!  My favorite part was white water rafting - we had a blast!  I also really liked being really close to glaciers and seeing the huge chunks fall off.  It was also really cool to stand in a river and see tons of fish swim right by you.  Oh and the deep sea fishing was great fun!

I get to travel enough with work that my ideal vacation includes my couch and a stack of books.
