Hello all

I am here to share my 10 wellness tips. I'm sure you all have came arcoss the same ones as I have, but I would like to share them for the one who hasn't came arcoss any of these tips. Please.... Feel free to share any tips you have.. We all are reading, watching, and looking for the well known advice to weight loss and success.

Here are my 10 tips to wellness

1. Write down your goals and desires <SMART>
S= Specific
M= Measurable
A= Action Based
R= Realistic
T= Time
I feel a person can achieve anything they put there mine to, when they see a plan in place and unfold right before there very own eyes. So get out your pens and pads, and start coming up with those smart goals.

2. Ask yourself, what, when, and how.
Don't be afraid to get down to the root of the weight gain, and don't be afraid to get down to the what, when, and how it's going to come off. Ask yourself these questions, and give yourself a realistic answer. More so the truth. If you don't start addressing these issues.. The weight is going to keep on repeating its gain and lost month after month.

3. Have a plan.
Give yourself a good plan, and cut out this time line of when you are going to get it done. Once we drop the time line. We can live more freely, and stop failing. We don't have to repeat this cycle over again. It can be nipped in the bud. We just have to put together a good plan to nip it.

4. Start a Journal
Open up about your day to day feelings. Start an workout, food, and feelings journal. There is nothing wrong with writing everything down. When you do this. You can see where you went wrong, and how it happen and address it right away. You can also see how each week plays out.Always go back and read your past week or weeks journals. It does help with this process. It helps you stay focus.

5. Begin your journey right away.
If this is something you want to do.. Do it, and start doing the best thing for you right now. It's never too late, and a better you plan does not have to start on the first of the month. It can start right now.. TODAY! Anyday, and everyday is a good day to start living right for you.

6. Take one step at a time.
This isn't a race to a healthy living or life style, or even weight loss. This is something you want to do step by step, and day by day.  When you look for a fast fix, you end up with saddle bags full of let downs.

7. Learn from your set backs.
How can you learn from your set backs, if you don't journal. That's what my trainer said to me.. How can you learn anything? You must write, and you must keep an close eye on yourself. Everyone can tell you where you went wrong in your change, but can you truly say.. You know where you went wrong.  Everyone is watching you.. But are you watching yourself as closely as they are.. I don't think so.. So learn, and watch your steps.

8. Spend some time on you.
We give so much of ourselves to everyone else, and we can never find the time to spend some time with ourselves. Giving yourself 30 to 60 mintunes a day to walk, exercise, relax, and reflect. There is nothing wrong with telling someone in your life. Give me some me time..Pencil in the time in your date book. Make a chart. I don't care if your me time is a 60 to 90 mintune hot bath. We all need to relax and destress ourselves. Stress is a weight gainer too.

9. Stop comparing yourself to others, celebrities, and find your own body and fit.
Reason why I say stop comparing yourself to others, and celebrities is this, and I just learn from my own mistake today. After pulling a muscle. I can only be the best, Lynn and you can only be the best you. We can't compare ourselves to anyone. We might have some things in common, but we aren't and never will be the same. You must find your own fit, and do what works for you. What works for them may not work for you. What works for me.. May not work for you.  What works for you may not work for me. SO, Find what fits you, and don't try what fits everyone else.

10. Reward Yourself when ever you achieve something, such as an goal.
Always reward yourself with some type of personal treat. People say, your reward can't be food, but I say it can be what ever you choose it to be within reason. Reward yourself. It's always good to give yourself a good treat. I love to give myself treats, and sometimes it can be a slice of cheese.

These are the 10 tips I came across in a few mags and websites. I hope you all enjoy them.

Feel free to share your 10 wellness tips

1. Always move, don't stand still. Walking to the market? Perfect! Taking the stairs instead of elevators? Even better.

2. Set ATTAINABLE GOALS! Sure I'd want to be 110 lbs at 5'2" but being stuck at 130-132 lbs for months gives me one big hint: 110 is NOT gonna happen.

3. Learn a bit of nutrition. Know what gives you energy and what's good for your body. Learn substitutions. Like for lunch you can have a tuna salad wt a boiled egg on top and still get your protein from good sources.

4. Carbs are not evil...unless they are simple! Ditch the white sugar, white flour, white bread, white rice, white pasta. if you like such items, switch to the healthy versions.

5. Pizza is not bad...once a month!

6. Fast Food IS BAD! [sorry!]

7. Love to move, use your preferences to choose the exercise. Sure I'd love to jog but it's kinda boring. So I play tennis, walk, play darts, play pool, dance...

8. Do not set goals based on clothes sizes (have you heard of vanity sizing? no? read abt it!)

9. know your maintenance range and your BMR. hence you'll know what calories you can play wt.

10. invest in a HRM if you work out a lot or pedometer is you walk a lot.

These are based on my experience. After 3 yrs on the healthy journey i've  learned quite a bit LOL :)

I know i can eat up to 2100-2200 GOOD calories and won't gain but I need 1300-1500 cal to lose depending on what exercise I do.

I hope everyone reads your post. Your 10 wellness tips are very good. I like those, and the one about learning a bit about nutrition is key here. I did a good job of eating I think until I hit a stressful moment to day. I have to work on those, and keep my temp down.

I love your 10 tips, and I hope we all keep them coming.. I love your
