Here is a list that I started for the best foods to gain weight...feel free to add on to it!

Fruits: Bananas, Cherries, Canned Fruit in Juice, Currants and Raisins, Dates and Figs, Fruit Juices, Fruit Juice Bars, Mangoes, Pineapple, Plantains, Dried Fruits

Breads/Cereals: All-Bran, Bran-Buds, Breads (heavy, dense), Fruitful-Bran, Fruit Squares, Low-Fat Granola, Pasta, Rice and Barley, Wheat Germ (mix in food), Cooked Cereals (i.e. Bulgar, Grits, Oatmeal, etc.)

Vegetables: Corn, Lima Beans, Parsnips, Peas, Potatoes, Succotash, Sweet Potatoes, Winter Squash (i.e. Acorn, Butternut)

Dairy:

Nonfat Cheese, Nonfat Dry Milk (mix into food), Nonfat Frozen Desserts, Soy Milk, Nonfat Frozen Yogurt

Meats and Meat Substitutes: Beans (Garbanzo, Kidney, Navy, Pinto, etc.)
Fish (Bluefish, Butterfish, Chubb, Herring, Mackerel, Pompano, Salmon, Sardines, Swordfish, Tuna and tofu)


Other: Gainers Fuel/Gainers Fuel 1000 (high-calorie, high protein, nutrient-dense, dry mixes to add to water, juice, milk, frozen yogurt, etc.)

Meat: Lamb, Beef

Dairy: Ricotta cheese! Cottage Cheese.

Fat: Olive oil, Natural PB, Hummus, nuts 

Dairy: Eggs (not just the whites), Fage (greek) yogurt, Cheese, Cream Cheese, Ricotta Cheese

Meats & Proteins: Fish (Haddock, Cod, Flounder, Tuna, Salmon etc); Chicken breasts; Chickpeas; Refried mexican beans; Boca Burgers & Boca Grounds Meat; Shrimp;

Fats: Granola, Avocados, Almonds, Olives, Olive Oil, Hummus, Cashews, Margerine or Butter (sparingly), sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, peanut butter, salad dressings

Carbs & Others: Almond Breeze, Granola (especially good mixed with yogurt), bananas ( I hate them but they're good for potatssium & are calorie dense), sweet potatoes/yams, potatoes, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat breads, whole grain brown rice

Edit: I forgot cream of wheat, oatmeal, and popcorn - 3 of my go-to snacks
