Iv been using the pressed makeup and powder in one just cuz its convenient but i realized it doesnt look good on my face. i may have to switche to the real foundation and get the powder with it. Can anyone recommend a good makeup? I have combination skin...
Also, what cream is good for the skin.....like for wrinkles and stuff around the eyes? I am 29...i dont have alot but id like to prevent them lol.
*i need to quit smoking as well so it doesnt get worse :/

I don't use foundation, I have just never found one that does not feel heavy in my skin. For YEARS I have been using CoverGirl tinted moisturizer as my foundation. It is awesome, sheer, light coverage, spf 15, no heavy cakey feeling. It is just fresh and light. Sometimes if I want a more polished look I dust some Bare Minerals loose powder over the moisturizer. Actually, I would like to check back here to see if people give you good recommendation on powder or a compact.
I love make-up, I just don't normally like to look like I am wearing any! Do you mind if I add a question here? Since we are on the make-up topic. Anyone know eye liner that DOES NOT smudge! It always ends up under my eyes on on the side!
Oh yeah, and I don't use any creams, just good old fashioned vaseline. In junior high I had a boyfriend whose mom was so beautiful and young looking and she only used Vaseline too!

i reccomend a tinted moisturizer, for SURE instead of foundation. It's much better for your skin!!! :D I personally use clinique's tinted moisturizer with spf, cuz i think a little extra money for stuff like that might help save my skin in the future. My mom uses vaseline, too, but i've heard nivea creme right before bedtime works wonders, too! oh btw, for a powder, taylor, i use clinique too, it really works wonders! its like shimmery and its a loose powder, comes in a circle-shaped container.... ack i cant remember the exact name, tho.
I love the Mary Kay medium coverage foundations. Thick enough to cover, yet light enough that it doesn't cake. It also has spf 15. I use MK powder & bronzer as well.
As far as moisturizers go, I have fallen in love with the MK oil-free hydrating gel. It's kind of pricey but my face looks wonderful whenever I use it consistently. It's great for combination skin.
I don't use Mary Kay's skin care as it really doesn't have enough salicytic acid in it for my problem spots, but I really love their makeup.

I started using Arbonne RE9 Anti-Aging skin care products about a month ago. I loved the products soooo much, I became a consultant, so I can share them with all my friends and family. They also have various types of foundations that are nice. These are all natural, plant based products. No animal by-products or testing. If you want more info on this product, I'd be happy to share with you.
thanks for the responses so far =]
i work at a place with makeup counters. expensive stuff but i get at least 20% off. ill talk to the clinque lady. i forgot what else we had besides them and mac....
i kept going to CVS to buy the semi cheap stuff but maybe some expensive stuff is worth it. ill stick with cvs for lip gloss and such lol.

I too am a Mary Kay fan. I like both the liquid to powder and the cream to powder foundations. I use a light MK moisturizer first, and they spread so evenly and make my skin look smmmmooooth.

I was a Mary Kay fan too, for many years. But I found that it just wasn't working for me anymore. I went through an early 30's acne stage for about 8 months - and I experimented with several products. It wasn't until I found Arbonne, that I saw the results I was looking for. It's good stuff!!! I recently switched from using clinique makeup to bedhead.... Bedhead is sold at most salons or beauty supply stores.. I love the entire line.... I use a natural beige liquid foundation and then the beauty line pressed powder... it covers any facial flaws you may have, but at the same time is so lightweight, you cant tell you are wearing any... and you do not have to reapply or touch up..
For facial lotion, I am still hooked on clinique dramatically different face lotion, and then i absolutely love the arbonne re-9 eye cream and lift serum....

I am using the whole RE9 line, and it's amazing!!! The eye cream is awesome. I love it so much, I became an independent consultant for Arbonne International.
I love bare minerals.
I will second loving bare minerals. I used Clinique for years, and then a co-worker told me about bare minerals about a year ago and I've been using it ever since. It covers really well, but you don't feel like you're wearing make-up at all. It looks very natural.
I have to third bare minerals. My aunt got me hooked on it a couple years go when she bought me some for christmas. I love it!! It feels so nice, not like heavy regular makeup I used to use.
Hey Bare Minerals Girls,
How's the coverage. I've worked on a beach for years and have (unfortunately) age spots; eek! Would they cover?

for foundation I use Neutrogena. Why? SPF20 that's why! It's the highest SPF I've found in any foundation.
For eyes I use Clinique's All About Eyes. Good for dark circles and preventing wrinkles.

rene--you can choose the coverage in bare minerals, but it covers all the redness I have from acne & my mom's rosacea. I would say, they would definitely cover.
Nymo--bare minerals has SPF 15, so you win!
