Best Jeans For Your Body Type
I don't know about you, but I have a terrible time finding jeans that fit me well. So, I thought I'd go to you for help.
If you know of a brand or style of jeans that consistently fits you well, please respond with a description of your body type and what the jeans are. Especially if you have an atypical body shape.
Personally, I'm interested in anyone who knows of jeans that fit a severe pear shape. Jeans are always really big on my waist, and when I sit down, they stick WAAAY out above my butt (sometimes all the way down to the seat!) I've also had the jeans that I can't even get a leg into all the way because of my big legs.
Any help is appreciated, even if you have tips for somone else's body shape.

You need some Apple Bottoms!
For people like me with small waists, no hips, but some booty; I suggest Express and Arizona (yes, JC Penney brand) jeans.

Is Apple Bottoms a brand or something? Where do they sell it?
I get my jeans from Vanity I have the same problem. They just came out with a new kind "the boyfriend" which is suppose to be larger for the thigh/leg area.
My daughter is a pear shape and she loves the GAP Curvy fit jean.
My best friend is also a pear shape and she prefers Citizens for Humanity and Levi's - but can't remember which one.
I am an apple shape, petite, only a 26 inch inseam, but I happen to have a regular-sized torso so petite jeans tend to be too short in the rise. Regular jeans tend to be too loose in the hips, butt and thighs, and of course too long in the length. I hate shopping for jeans. HATE IT!! Here is my list of "almost okay" jeans:
- Gap Modern Fit (unfortunately, they don't make these anymore)
- Gap Long & Lean (need to be hemmed though)
- Jcrew jeans ... but I'm kinda between sizes.
- Ralph Lauren jeans... fit at waist, but are not too tight. Only complaint is that they can get a bit too baggy in the butt, and they are not trendy at all.
- DNKY Soho: close to my holy grail... they have stretch, they are dark-washed with no whiskering, and they hit just below the waist (can't stand low rise jeans). Just right in the length (so probably way too short for everyone else, LOL). Only complaint is that the stretch gives out after a few hours wear. But they are ohhhh so comfy!!! And I've never in my life referred to any jean as "comfy" :-)

I'm a pear- one solution is that I just end up buying jeans that ride a little low. I have never found jeans that sit anywhere near my waist that fit OK in my waist and hips/thighs at the same time.
Levi's 515 and 518 are my jeans of choice- both sit between my navel and hipbones, making them modest enough to cover my ginormous tush (no, the world does NOT need to know how cute my panties are on any given day) but still low enough to be on the rise of my hips rather than trying to get to my waist.
Now, I did try on a pair of Seven jeans that fit pretty well, but I can't afford them, so it didn't really matter how well they fit.

I also have a hard time finding Jeans that fit. My waist is so tiny, it's rediculous compared to my butt.
I found 3 great pairs in one shot at JC pennies. A store I hadn't shopped in in probably over 6 years. I just never liked them.
One pair is the JC Penny brand. It says Ana on the tag. They fit like someone taylored them to me, which was shocking, they're as comfortable as sweat pants and look fab.
I also found 2 dark wash jeans (I'm a sucker for super dark blue). In the brand Bisou Bisou. They fit pretty well and have flattering cuts, plus the dark wash helps. I'm all set for the next 5 years with these puppies XD <--- happy

anyone else having probs as a tall girl. I usually wear a 27 or 28. But I have thicker upper thighs. I can't seem to find a great brand that is LONG enough and doesn't flatten out my tush. :(
italianprincess, Mavi jeans always come in a 34 inseam, and most places will adjust for free! Also, they are extremely expensive, but se7en jeans are great for tall girls with curves.
italianprincess - try citizens of humanity jeans - they are expensive but the denim is premium quality - I swear to you they will stretch only where you need them to - if you dont let anyone borrow them they will stay the same FOREVER. They won't fade or fray or anything! And they are long enough - I am 5'6'' but I wear 3 1/2-4'' platform heels every day (I only believe in pumps or sneakers) and I too have trouble getting good jeans that are long enough. Try them out :)
Hey, a friend of mine sent me this link ; a while back. He said one of his co-workers swears by them. So I gave it a try and they suggested a huge range of things for me, from $20 jeans to $200. It's pretty cool. I didn't need to buy pants at the time, so I didn't buy to check it out, but it might help point you in the right direction.
I'm a pear shape with a really small waist (well, really small top half in general I guess, but I've got hips!), and the only jeans I've found that I like are by Elie Tahari and Seven For All Mankind. I also love Bebe pants so I think I'd probably like their jeans, but I've never tried them on. All of these jeans are kind of expensive, though.
Wow-thanks everyone for your suggestions. I'm definitely going to check them out when I get closer to my goal weight - maybe that'll be my reward. A pair of perfect jeans - however expensive that happens to be......sounds good to me!
I love Citizens of Humanity jeans! Pricey, I have 3 pairs and probably paid $150+ each, but so worth it. Italianprincess, we might be kind of the same. I have no butt to speak of, but big thighs (from running), and I'm 5'10", 132. They fit me perfectly. They are nice and long! I always gets size 28. Oh yea, they last forever, too.
