I love breakfast! My one issue is that I can never decide what to have because I love so many different kinds of food for breakfast. Over the past few mornings I've been experimenting and here are my favorite concoctions!
crunchy creamy fruit oatmeal:
1/4 cup (dry) oatmeal (cooked = 1/2 a cup)
1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt
1/2 cup kashi heart to heart cereal (or any other cereal, such as cheerios, honey bunches of oats, etc.)
1 small peach, diced
1 plum, diced
3 strawberries, diced
1/2 cup of blueberries
mix it all together and you've got an extremely filling breakfast for under 340 calories!
Chocolatey raspberry oatmeal:
1/2 cup (dry) oatmeal, cooked
1 cup raspberries
1 tablespoon nutella (chocolate hazelnut spread)
mix it all together, and you've got a treat that tastes AMAZING for 315 calories!
Crunchy cinnamon and banana oatmeal:
1/4 cup (dry) oatmeal, cooked
1 large banana, mashed
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup kashi Golean crunch
again, mix it all together and eat up! it's about 300 calories!

Ribena porridge is ok, but a bit plain. Needs cottage cheese and berries.

i partically like bobs red mill scottish oatmeal ( i have a bulk tin of it) and mccans steel cut irish oats
i usually dont do much to these two cereals, they taste good and nutty by them selves, i usally just add a bit of honey, pure maple syrup, dried fruit, or even salt.
now quaker oats... thats a different story, they taste so bland they almost beg for sugar and add ons.

1/3 C millet flakes
2/3 C water
1/3 C skimmed milk
a dash of vanilla
nuke on high 3.5 mins mix and give another 15 secs or so, just till boils to top of bowl and then sprinkle with sweetner and add sliced strawberries and banana.....mmmmmm

i loveee oatbran! it's like creamy and smooth and is delicious. i like it with a couple of packets of splenda and a bunch of cinnamon. it's so good it feels like it should be bad for you.
and a half cup uncooked is just 150 cals, and once it's cooked it's HUGE

oat bran is awesome. it doesn't really have a strong taste, kind of like oatmeal. you have to add sweetener to it, usually just cinnamon and splenda or stevia. it also turns out huge after you cook it
