I can't really help you here, as I am super white and freckled and red headed and I have tried a lot of self tanners, all gave me that orange tint color.

My mom is the same skin tone as me and she uses this stuff called "Glow". I think Revlon makes it. Its supposed to gradually add color over time. I haven't seen her results as I don't live near her, but she swears it doesn't give off the orange tint.

There ain't nothin' wrong with being a beautiful cherub pink! I'm "porcelain" (pasty) , with flecks of warmth (freckled to the point of tan confusion in summer) and rosy (menopause much?) cheeks.

And seriously, I love it.

We don't all have to pretend we spend every waking moment on the beach. Variety is the spice of life ;)

personally i find pale girls more attractive than ones that purposely tan,

Ha ha, see!?

I've found that the 'touch of sun' moisturizers to be the best bet. Its like a sunless tanner, except diluted with moisturizer. If you apply it every day for two weeks you see a noticable difference, but it doesn't look at all fake because its pretty mild.

i dont want to be super tan, but i am horribly two-toned because my arms get really tanned when i drive, but everything else stays covered.  i just wanted to even out my skin and since my arm tan never really fades, i wanted to get a self tanner.

Have you considered a spray tan at a salon? Lots of my friends get those and they look pretty good. Some of the do come out orange though!

I know exactly how you feel, what with being a fellow pale skin. I think if I had to go with one, I would use the gradual ones, so you can see the color develop and stop using if it gets too orange.

Even I have had a spray tan. It really did a pretty good job. You need to start out on a 1 and work your way up. The key to the orange is to put blocking lotion that they provide on your hands and feet. I didn't put any on my feet and they are still a little orange from 2 months ago. What I can't believe is that I am responding to this question. I may have just lost my mind.
