Best Short Muscle Gain Video/DVD

Quote  |  Reply

Hi all,

Just wondering, now when I get home from school I'm quite tired [I walk there and back, about 5.4 miles round trip] but I would like to do some muscle gaining exercises with my weights - I have both 3kg and 5kg weights. I'd like some more muscle and I was wondering if you could recommend a good workout DVD/Video for me that I can do once a day/ever other day and that is quite short.

Thanks!

PS. Would you think it is better to walk or cycle to school and back? Which provides the better cardio exercise?

STATS: 17/m 145lb 177cm

Better cardio for that kind of distance would be running.  Walking 2.7 miles at a slow and easy pace has nearly zero intensity, and biking it would add some intensity, but it would over so quickly.

Building muscle takes time and proper nutrition (more than just lifting a couple of 3 kg/6 lbs or 5 kg/10 lb weights a couple times a week).  If your school has a weight-lifting or strength/conditioning coach or a health/nutrition teacher, it would be best to talk to them as they would be more experienced in these areas, especially for teens.  Programs geared toward adults assume that we've stopped growing, and your body may still have some growth to do.

But please talk to someone local to you in person -- we on the Internet have a tendency to give bad advice if we don't know your specific details. Smile

The videos are revolved around working out with very little equipment, and there are basic to advanced workouts.
