I am always in search for a better bra for exercise! since my weight loss I'm only a B-cup (formerly a C, sadly!) I still get a lot of jiggle and bounce unfortunately, and I just wanted some recommendations!

What brand is your most supportive sport bra?

Where did you get it?

What was the cost?

I have an old sports bra. I don't even know the brand.  It's so bad, I have to wear a bra and then the sports bra over the first bra.....I really need to get out and get a new one.

You are right, though.  I don't even know which ones are the good brands either.

Nike makes a really good one called the "Revolution" it is pricey but they are on sale alot. I love it.  If you go to any of the typical sites you will find it.

I also swear by champion bras - I am a C (and I have implants) so I have to really careful. I put two champion bras on and I pick a size M or S for extra compresssion.

i try and stay away from the pricey bras right now, being that my hopes are they wont fit for long as i loose weight!!! walmart sales good ones, and not so good ones..... i look for big straps, profferably with the racer back..... and i have discovered that it doesnt matter if i spend $15 on a bra at walmart of $40 on a bra at a sporting goods store.... i still have to double up the support and wear a sports bra and a tank with a shelf bra.... but that may be cause i'm a D cup....

Never heard of the "Revolution".  I'm willing to pay for a pricey one if it works though.

Yellagirl - I like the extra support of two bras as well.  Especially when I'm running.  I'm only a B, but I'm a saggy B and I just don't want them getting any saggier because of my running.

I also wear two bras when I run! I bought the hanes 3-pack cheap bras to wear when I'm lounging or on weekends and I'll slip one of those on under a regular sports bra for extra support. My bras are getting too big now that I've lost weight, though! How depressing!!!!

How much is "pricey" for the Revolution?

Has anyone ever worked out in a sports bra with underwire? It sounds uncomfortable to me, but it probably has more support! just curious.

Underarmour

Dicks

I can't remember, but probably around $40

OOH!  Underarmor.  I LOVE their workout shirts and pants. They suck the sweat right off of you.  Never tried their bras, but I bet they help a lot with the sweaty boobs.

Champion makes a great sports bra that looks more like a regular bra with the ability to make it a racerback for more support.  Style 1695 at Penny's. My daughter just had a reduction (now a c)and loves this bra.  Good luck.

Personally, I just buy them a little on the small side from walmart for cheap. That way they're tighter, and I also feel a little fat and cramped in them so I'm like "Yeah...I really need to run tonight!"

haha. Plus then you can use it a little longer as you lose weight.

Being hard to fit - I have bought several brands, and given them away.  I found a brand on Ebay - WINWOLF - and bought them (3 in the deal).  Love them!  I found the seller and bought 3 more.  They are all I wear to the gym.  You might try to look them up on Ebay and see if the seller still has some.  Sorry I don't remember seller's  ID.  Good luck.

I also like the underarmor sports bra.  Also the trick that seems to work best for me is to buy one size smaller that I think I should wear.  That way even the cheaper brands seem to do the trick.

I have the Nike revolution bra, as a matter of fact I have a lot of sports bra and I am sorry to say that I thought I was the only one who had to wear more than one bra. In high school I weighed 100 lbs and had big Cs. Now that I just had my second child I am bubbling out of a DD. I wear on average one regular bra and a sports bra and a workout shirt with a built in bra. I do not want to spend money on bras yet until I loose weight and hopefully go back down to a C. The Nike revolution bra is a good bra, but I have found that even wearing the two bras plus a built in bra shirt i still bounce like im trying to give myself a black eye...

I just get the danskin tank tops with built in sports bras from walmart...I think I paid $9 for mine.  The double layer of spandex-y fabric gives me a little extra support, plus it's super cheap so I don't have any regrets when I no longer fit in it!

this being my first round of actually needing a sports bra, i'm new to all this, but here is what i found:

herroom.com: you can browse bras and get customer comments on what other women liked and didn't, which includes cup size for each review, so you know how supportive it might be (or not). they also have bounce video, believe it or not, so you can see how much bounce with jogging before you buy. and if you decide to buy there, they have a good return policy, but dont remove the tags until you know your going to keep it.

currently a 38 dd, i dont find the champion good enough for high impact, but its ok for moderate if im not jumping. I bought a natori sports bra with an underwire, and i like it alot: i dont bounce too much when jumping. thats helpful! and i can get the danged thing off and on, which is also a nice feature.

i too have found a size too small can be helpful with those little streachy things (although i cant get them off or on without dislocating a shoulder).

great topic, im glad there is a place for such discussions!

I've had the 3 Reasons Support Bra from Title Nine for almost four years now. I'll wear this one dirty over using another inferior bra that is clean (gross, but true). It's totally customizable with a 3-hook closure on the back and super-strong velcro strap adjustments (on the front of the bra, perfect for mid-workout bounceage fixes).

I can adjust it to let me breathe a little more on walking workouts, or pancake them down flat for running, jumping, mountain biking, etc. and it keeps my D-cups completely bounce-free. It's $45, and they give you a small discount for purchasing two in one go.

I agree with whoever said champion.  I'm a D-cup and it's the only only thing that's worked for me (sorry, but I'm just plain unwilling to shell out more than $20 for a bra).

xx

Lulu Lemon.

something ridiculous like $58. But irreplaceable. I never needed one(a bit unendowed) until i started intense yoga classes, but these are spectacular.

I love shock Absorber sports bras. I don't know if they are only sold in the UK. they are the best. I have 3 of them. They were about 25 pounds each, but so worth it. I'm a DD/E and I can go running with these.

They have different styles depending on how much support you want, so max support for running and less (more flexible and stretchie, but still hold you in) for weight lifting or yoga.

I never want to be without these again. You can get them in places like Debenhams and maybe look them up online, not sure.

I had to wear two sports bras together for support (and i'm only a C-cup) until I discovered Champion sports bras. I buy the ones that have the shaped cups, but not a wire. They hold me in great and they're inexpensive!
