What is the best time to weigh myself?

Anyone know the best time to weigh yourself? I've been weighing myself in the mornings, but I've been weighing in every morning, should I be weighing myself everyday? Any comments or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated Laughing

In the morning, naked, after you've peed and before you've had breakfast or exercised. Everyday tends to make a person obsessive, once a week is better but whatever works for you is fine.
I only weight in the morning, before breakfast, and I try to only weigh in once a week. :-)
I always weigh myself first thing in the morning after going to the restroom. I hear it's more accurate then at night after you've eaten all day long.

I like weighing myself in the morning after using the bathroom but before breakfast.

Many people weigh themselves once a week, but I think it's more accurate to do it daily.  That way, if you happen to have a large fluctuation on your one day a week that you weigh yourself, you'll either end up disappointed that you've worked hard but wasted a week or you'll think you're farther along than you really are.

Whatever works for you as long as you're consistant.

I weigh myself every morning just before making breakfast.

i agree with the morning, post-pee, pre-breakfast, all-nude approach. i don't want any extras adding on the pounds!

i try to only weigh once a week, b/c doing it more often kinda makes me nuts, but sometimes i can't help but wonder where i am in the middle of a week.

if you're obsessive, DON'T weigh yourself everyday.

For me every day is a must or I'll cheat during the day. Plus, my reasoning is that if your weight fluctuates, you need to weigh yourself daily -- or on the one day you weigh yourself it could be unusually high or low from water retention or whatever.

THANKS for all the suggestions! I really appreciate it.. Wink
I think that as long as you're consistant in when you weigh and what state of dress (or undress!) you're in, you're fine.  Like many others, I weigh in the morning at the point that I assume I'm the lightest. How's that for cryptic?  :)   I'm actually considering switching to just after dinner or before bed - I wonder if there might be something reassuring about knowing that the numbers on the scale are a "worst case scenario" rather than the optimum.

When I first started, I weighed in every morning and logged it, but I found that I was obsessing over totally normal fluctuations and driving myself crazy.  Although it wasn't really a conscious decision, it's evolved to the point that I now weigh in every four weeks (not once a month, but every four weeks) to get a better overview of my progress.  I guess it's because I'm confident that there will be progress, so I don't feel the need to check on myself every day. It seems to be working for me, but I think you need to do whatever you're most comfortable with.
