not the best weight loss ad
Just saw this banner a moment ago on here. I'm going to guess they meant "start losing" :D
LMAO! I hate these stupid ads..most of them are so unrealistic.....
Sucks when the copy writer doesn't pay attention...
LOL, I had to look twice to get it!
Some of them are really ridiculous. I recently saw one on a blog where the "before" and "after" picture were of women from two different races. And we're supposed to believe it's the same person? LOL she not only lost pounds, she lost pigment!
Well that ad may be right...if the creators of it are cruel and mean to say losing as in being a loser. Which might be the case because I would imagine that those are reviewed just once or twice before they are put up.
Either way that ad sucks.
And the fact that it is Kimkins makes it all the better.
At the bottom of my screen was another Kimkins ad, saying "I lost 125 pounds" (or however much). The after picture has a woman's face tilted, and the depth of field is strange, so that her head seems almost disconnected from her body, which is far in the background. It's not attractive and kinda disturbing. Very little of the photo gives you any sense of what her body looks like, so gives no perspective on the weight loss.
Of course, what do you expect from Kimkins. Did she end up getting fined or jail time or anything for completely misleading people into starvation?
I think it's counter to CC Guidelines, and overtly greedy for the CC powers that be to accept the advertising money and thus offhand promote Kimkins dreadful starvation plan.
Actually, it's not Calorie-count's choice. To expand, CC needed to go under a bigger name. That's why we are linked to About.com. Unfortunately, it is about.com that accepts the ads and not Calorie-count.

This makes it so but it doesn't make it right.
Yes, bagga. Same tree, but different branch.
Tom, I never said it was right. I was just trying to explain how it happens.
Maybe if enough members report these ads to about.com, something might get done?
Ha ha ha Classic! I never read any of the adds looks like I should cos I'm missing some good stuff! :)
